Belmont High School Open House:
Please mark your calendar now for our Open House which will be held on Wednesday, Sept 25th from 6:00-8:00PM. Please note this is a date change from Sept 26th.
We will be checking vehicles today , so if you have registered your vehicle with the main office in the past , you will need to come to the main office to verify your vehicle and your tag number. If you will be driving your vehicle to school for the first time, you will need to pick up a car registration form in the main office, which will then need to be filled out and signed by a parent. Once this is completed bring return to the main office and a car tag will be issued.
First Semester Classes:
As a reminder, the drop/ add deadline is Tues. Sept 3rd. If you need to drop a class you can come to the guidance office during the block of the class you would like to drop. See the guidance office for any scheduling changes.
If you are a senior and have either Block 1 or Block 5 study hall and you wish to either come in late to school in the morning (will need to arrive to school prior to Block 2 ) or if you would like to leave early after block 4, you will need to pick up a senior privilege form in the main office. Once filled out and signed by a parent, please return to the main office.
It would be greatly appreciated if you have a parent fill all forms out as soon as possible. Note the forms that need to be signed by a parent and/or signed by yourself. Please pass in your paperwork to your 1st block teacher. If you have senior privilege 1st block you can pass your forms into the main office. The form for Geskus photography should NOT be passed in at this time. Portrait day is not until Sept 12th.

BHS Drama is producing the musical Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory this year. We would like to cordially invite members of the elementary schools, the middle school and the high school, including faculty, staff, students and parents, to participate in this fun, family-oriented production. If you would help us get the word out to everyone, it would be greatly appreciated. This year we are very excited to announce a new partnership between the high school and the Franklin Opera House, who is so generously allowing us to use their beautiful space to produce this show.
Community and collaboration seem to be big initiatives this year and, as a die-hard thespian, I think participating in a theatrical production, whether it be on the stage or behind the scenes, is a great way to accomplish something together and create wonderful memories. Please consider participating and asking others to participate as well to make this first year in a new space a successful endeavor. Thanks for your support and help spreading the word.
It's that time of year again, for what, you may ask. Fundraising opportunities, of course, are available for you to help yourself. Don't have a job and may be planning ahead for possible international travel, the prom, sports equipment, band or senior trip? If you considered any of these expenses, sign up in room 105. NHMS parking on Sun. Sept. 22. See señora for details.
Meeting after school in room 216 on Tuesday, September 3. All current and new members are welcome to join us to begin planning our school events for the year!
Anyone who volunteers in the Shaker Regional School District must complete the background check, which includes fingerprinting, prior to the beginning of any volunteer event or activity. If you have been fingerprinted in a previous year, you will NOT need to be printed. Please note that it takes up to four weeks for the fingerprints to be processed. Volunteers cannot begin until the background check is completed.
Mark your calendars for the fingerprinting clinics:
