Athletics:

Boys JV Football at Newport. Bus leaves at 1:30 from the Meadows. Team dismissal is 12:45.

The Fall Leadership Workshop will be held on October 9th, 2014

Senior Pictures

The deadline to submit senior pictures is fast approaching. Submit a disc or flash drive to Mrs. Hamilton BY Friday October 31st.  Any  photos turned in after this date will be charged a late fee.

Order forms are available through Mrs. Hamilton in Room 206 or click here to order your yearbook online.

 

Guidance

Seniors, scholarship opportunities are beginning to start arriving in the guidance office. Please check the scholarship section of our guidance website at https://sites.google.com/site/belmonthighguidance/.  Check back frequently to be updated on the latest opportunities. 

 

Johnson State College will be visiting the guidance office on Tuesday, Sept. 30th at 12:30pm. Juniors and seniors who are interested in hearing about what Johnson State has to offer should sign up in the guidance office to attend.

 

Scholarship opportunity, for seniors, that are student athletes. The Wendy's Heisman scholarship is available for seniors to apply until October 3rd. For more information, or to apply go to WendysHeisman.com.

 

Progress Report grades are due to guidance by the end of the day on Friday, 10/3

Spelling Bee                                                                                                         

The Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation is hosting their annual Spelling Bee on November 6th at 6:30. This fun and entertaining event takes place at Laconia High School. Seniors, see Ms. Haubrich to join a team and have some fun (costumes welcome!). This is a great opportunity to get yourself  known to the Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation people who will be awarding college scholarships in the Spring!

 

Running Start

The accuplacer exam is TODAY, make sure you have your $20 fee with you. The exam will take place in Library. 

 

Homecoming    

Homecoming dance/bonfire  is coming up October 3rd if you plan on inviting a guest that does NOT go to BHS please pick up a permission slip form in the main office.

Juniors

Any student interested in working at the Color Run on Saturday, October 11th

needs to see Mr. Hill or Ms. Haubrich to sign up and get instructions for online registration.  We have 20 spots ... first come, first served

We need 6-8 students to work our booth for homecoming.  Please see Mrs. Haubrich to sign up.  First come, first served ... 10:00-1:30 or 1:30-5:00.

 

Robotics

There will be a robotics meeting today from 2:30-5pm in room 209.

 

Missing Video

If any student  knows the whereabouts of the library video entitled "We Can Do It!", which is a collection of WWII propaganda videos, please return it to Ms.Tardugno or Mr. Russell.

 

Drama Club

Auditions for the fall performance are today at 4:00pm in the band room.

"Girls Rock the Capitol" for girls ages 15-18 offered through Girls Scouts. A program that offers opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at state politics. If this sounds like that something you would be interested in, see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance for more information

 

Late registration for October SAT's is this Friday.

Although Running Start courses are $150, you may also submit a Scholarship Form in order to get a reduced rate of $75. Parents, please contact me for further information regarding this valuable opportunity for your student to get college credit for English 12, AP World History, and/or Computer Graphics I and II.

Bow High School is hosting a college information night on 10/8 at 6:30 PM in
their Auditorium
for Yale, Dartmouth, Brown and Colby. If you are a student
who is applying to one of these schools, please pass this information on to
them so they can meet the reps. The event should last from 6:30-8:30 PM.

 

Attention juniors and seniors! We have 4 colleges that will be visiting the guidance office this week.  On Tuesday, 9/23 at noon St. Thomas University, at 1pmSterling University, Wednesday 9/24 at 1:30pm UConn and on Thursday 9/25 at 9:15am Lyndon State College. If you are interested in learning more about any of these colleges please sign up in the guidance office

 

A representative from St. Thomas University in Canada will be in guidance on September 23rd to talk with students about their programs.

Drama Club will have a meeting on Tuesday, September 23 at 2:45pm in the band room. Anyone interested in drama club should attend this meeting.
