Athletics:

Track Athletes must return uniforms asap to Mr. Hayward in Room 107. Do not drop it off, make sure your name is crossed off the list! Logan Malone, Zach Roy, Austin Haddock(from Indoor Track).

 

Girls Soccer:

 Will be having a Flapjack Fundraiser on Sunday June 23rd at Tilton Applebee's from 8am-10:00am.  Please come have breakfast while supporting a great cause.

 

Locker Clean out:

This week during school wide lunch. Please leave locks on.

 

PE Lockers:
Locker room lockers should be cleaned out and locks returned to Mrs. Bates or Miss French before students leave for the summer.


 Fall Driver's Ed:

The fall session of Driver's Ed will begin on Aug 27th and will run until Oct 17th. If you are, or will be, turning 16 Oct 17th and would like to sign up for the class please pick up a registration in the main office before you leave for summer vacation or you can pick up in the main office over the summer.

 Will be holding class elections upon our return to school in August.  Any student interested in running for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Student Council Liaison at that time has the opportunity to show their dedication to their class over the summer by working at the various fundraising opportunities such as the NHMS July Race and Belmont Old Home Day.  For more information in helping at those events, please talk to either Ms.Tardugno (etardugno@sau80.org), Mr. Takantjas (atakantjas@sau80.org), or check the class's Facebook page for updates.

Juniors who are interested in helping with the car wash being held in Tilton please see Joe Boles or Megan Bailey.

Please sign up in the guidance office and get a permission slip. At least 8 students must sign up for each class or the class will be cancelled.

There will be a meeting for all boys interested in playing summer basketball today at 2:45  in the cafeteria.  Information regarding the program and schedule will be discussed and distributed.  If you are unable to attend, please see Mr. Acquilano after July 11 for a schedule.

There will be a meeting today in the BHS gym from 6:00-7:00PM for all athletes who would like to participate in fall athletics. This meeting is for athletes and parents. Any summer athletic programs will also be discussed at this meeting.

Class Night tonight in the BHS gym at 6:00PM. Graduation will be held at Meadowbrook on Sunday at 10:00AM

 

Class of 2016:

Lakes Region Floral Studio will be providing wrapped floral bouquets at Meadowbrook for graduation on Sunday. Wraps will be $5, 10, 15 & 20. You can purchase flowers for that special graduate and also support the class of 2016.

Yearbooks:

If you owe money on a yearbook please bring in money ASAP. If you're not sure if you owe money or have a yearbook reserved check with a yearbook staff representative at lunch. There are still a few for sale. Please come to the main office to purchase.

 

2013 Graduates:

1.Please save any files from your network drive that you wish to keep. All class of 2013 network drives will be permanently deleted after July 31st 2013.


2. Just a reminder that your school Google account will remain active until October 1, 2013.

For those interested in aviation and transportation:  Laconia Airport will host an Open House tomorrow from 10-2, showcasing antique and unusual aircraft, boats, motorcycles, and cars.  This event is family friendly and free.

FREE Summer School Classes at BHS:

We are offering a few summer school classes for students interested in taking classes this summer to build credits on their transcript.

1. Digital Photography with Mr. Frick being offered from June 24-Aug 1st. (6 wks)Classes are Monday & Wednesday from 8am-10:30am or Tuesday & Thursday from 8am-10:30am. At least 8 students have to sign up for each section in order to run a class. Permission slip and class syllabus are in guidance. Please note: Space is limited so you are encouraged to sign up in guidance and get a permission slip.

2. Creative Writing with Ms. Pitrone being offered from June 24-Aug 1st. Classes are Monday and Wednesday from 10:30am-1pm

3. Theatre Arts with Ms. Pitrone from June 24-Aug 1st, classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am-1pm. Permission slip and class syllabus are in guidance. Please sign up in the guidance office and get a permission slip. At least 8 students must sign up for each class or the class will be cancelled.

Students who are interested in taking any of these summer classes should have signed permission forms to guidance ASAP.

 We will be raffling off a Kindle Fire HD with a 8.9" Display – 16GB. Please see a member of the French club to buy tickets ($5 each, 5 for $20).  Winner will be drawn June 7, 2013.

There will be a meeting on June 11th in the BHS gym from 6:00-7:00PM for all athletes who would like to participate in fall athletics. This meeting is for athletes and parents. Any summer athletic programs will also be discussed at this meeting.

If you owe money on a yearbook please bring in money ASAP. If you're not sure if you owe money or have a yearbook reserved check with a yearbook staff representative at lunch. There are still a few for sale at lunches as well.

 

2013 Graduates:

1.Please save any files from your network drive that you wish to keep. All class of 2013 network drives will be permanently deleted after July 31st 2013.


2. Just a reminder that your school Google account will remain active until October 1, 2013.

The summer session of Driver's Ed will begin on July 16th and will run until Aug. 20th. Classes will be held on Tues., Wed ., and Thurs. from 8:30-10:30AM. If you are, or will be, turning 16 by Aug 20th and would like to sign up for the class please pick up a registration form in the main office. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit required when you register for the class.

The BHS PTO invites you to join us at our next meeting, to be held on MONDAY, June 17th at 6 pm in the Guidance Office Conference Room.  Please note the change on the meeting date.If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Donna Iacopucci at donnaike@metrocast.net.  We hope that you are able to join us for this last meeting of the school year.

For those interested in aviation and transportation:  Laconia Airport will host an Open House on Sat. June 8 from 10-2, showcasing antique and unusual aircraft, boats, motorcycles, and cars.  This event is family friendly and free.

Athletics:

Track:
Saturday at the Meet of Champions, Belmont Track and Field was again well represented.  Rebecca Drew-Moyer placed 8th in Shot Put (32' 8") and Bruce Zimmer placed 9th in Shot Put (43' 7.25") as well.  Joe Boles finished 7th in the 800m (2:00.86).  Despite the heat and humidity, they all bettered their seeding and performed admirably in tough fields that included the best athletes from all divisions in New Hampshire.

Girls Lacrosse:

Special recognition goes out to the Girl's Lacrosse team for donating their time, money, and spirit at the New Hampshire Best Buddies fundraiser in Concord on Saturday. The team raised $1,200.00 for the charity and comprised 60% of the volunteers that worked the event. Because of their outstanding volunteerism, the event was a great success and raised a total of $60,000.00 to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Way to go girl's Lacrosse
