Athletics:

Operation Hat Trick Baseball Hats:

Available for $20 in the main office. These hats are camo design with BHS embroidered on them. If you are interested in purchasing one you can stop by the main office this summer.

 

Red Raider Golf Tournament:

BHS will be hosting the 1st Annual Red Raider Golf Tournament on Friday June 27th at Loudon Country Club. If you would like more info please pick up an informational sheet with details in the main office.

 

Class of 2016:

Mr. Hill is looking for 20 volunteers to work at NHMS on Sunday, 7/13.  Both students and parents are wanted.  The class also needs 20 volunteers for both Saturday, 8/16 and Sunday, 8/17 for the Timberman.  Again, parents and students are wanted.  Please email Mr. Hill at bhill@sau80.org to let him know that you want to participate (first come, first served) and for additional information on how to get signed up.  It is important that you keep your commitment once you have signed up as well please.  Thank you!

Fall Drivers Education:

The fall Drivers Education session will start Aug 28th and will run until Oct 16th. If you turn 16 by Oct 16th and would be interested you can pick up a sign up sheet in the main office during the summer.  The cost is $650 with $150 deposit due one month prior to the start of the class with remaining $500 due by the first night of class.


NHS:

Many of you have received a mailing looking like National Honor Society and asking for $60.  This is not from NHS.  Do not send them money. 


2014 Graduates:

1. Please save any files from your network drive that you wish to keep. All class of 2014 network drives will be permanently deleted after July 31st 2014.

 

2. Just a reminder that your school Google account will remain active until October 1, 2014.

Girls Softball:

Congratulations to Mary Kate Russo and Megan Bailey for being selected to play in the senior games Wednesday night at Padden Field in Manchester.

 

Boys Basketball:

There will be boys basketball meeting today @  2:20pm in the gym.

 

Girls Softball:

For those that have not turned in their uniform please leave them in the office. Coach Clary will be in today  to pick them up.

 

Golf:

Anyone interested in playing BHS golf next fall, please meet in room 111 during break today.  Athletic permission and physical forms will be distributed as well as practice and match schedules.  If you cannot attend please contact Coach Charleston (kcharleston@sau80.org

 

Boys Football:

Anyone interested in playing football for the Gilford-Belmont Cooperative JV Football team in the fall please attend the meeting today @ 2:45PM in the cafe. Information and schedules will be available for the summer and fall.

 

Fall Signup Meeting:

There will be a meeting for athletes, parents and coaches to night @ 6:00PM in the gym. This meeting is for all athletes who are interested in playing a fall sport in the upcoming school year. Parents and athletes will also have the opportunity to meet the coaches. Attendance is highly encouraged.

Athletics:

Track & Field:

Belmont was proudly represented this past weekend by both Bruce Zimmer and Joe Boles at the New England Track and Field Championships.  Bruce placed 22nd in the Shot Put with a throw of 45' 7.25".  Joe placed 9th in the 800m with a time of 1:56.22 (bettering his School Record by another 0.2 sec).  The event is for the best 36 athletes among the 6 New England States.  Congratulations boys on a great season!

On Sunday, June 22nd,  from 10:00 to 1:00 PM, Belmont Girls Lacrosse will be hosting a Lacrosse clinic at Belmont High School. The instructor for the clinic will be Maura Murphy. She was a 4 year player at SNHU and was the leading scorer  during her time there. She was then hired as an assistant coach at SNHU and held that position for 3 years after graduation. This year she was hired as the assistant coach at Windham High School, who is playing in the DII championship this week. Please come take advantage of this 3 hours of free training to continue to improve your Lax skills. 

 

Sign up by today  if you plan on attending , by emailing Marta Silakka @ msilakka@nhada.com and if you do plan on attending please show up. Ms. Murphy is donating her time to help our team so lets not waste the opportunity.

Flowers Available at Graduation - The Class of 2016 will be selling flowers at graduation for friends and family of graduates to purchase.  Please see the options below, including special pricing for BHS graduation, that will be available.  Lakes Region Floral Studio is also offering this special pricing to parents, family, and friends wishing to pre-order flowers that will be delivered to Meadowbrook and available for pick-up at graduation. A Thank You From Ms. Angwin:

I received the greatest honor of my career today when members of National Honor Society  called me up during their hooding ceremony to thank me with roses and gorgeous things to say about me. It is I that am thankful to work with such wonderful and inspiring kids.

FLOWER OPTIONS (special pricing)

Class of 2016 :

Two  students are needed to help sell and distribute flowers at graduation. If you are interested please see Mr. Hill.


Graduation:

 Mrs. O'Connell is in need of 2 students to hand out programs at Graduation from 5-6 PM @ Meadowbrook tomorrow night.  If interested please see her in guidance office.

Summer Classes:

1. The Digital Photography course will again be offered this summer. Sign up in guidance or see Mr. Frick.

 

2. VLAX Credit Recovery Class will also be offered this summer. Please sign up in the guidance office.
