New Sports Physical Requirements

All students who will be participating in athletics at the Middle and High School level will now be required to have a yearly physical  exam by a licensed physician, advanced registered nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant in order to be eligible to participate (practice or games).  The initial physical for students must be within a year of the start of their athletic career and be updated yearly. Copies of the physicals need to be provided to the health office to be reviewed and kept in the student's medical file.  If a student athlete has suffered a severe injury or illness since the last physical on file, a follow-up exam with clearance to participate must be obtained by a licensed medical provider and documentation of the exam given to the school nurse.  Please refer to Shaker Regional School District (SRSD) policy JLCA for more information.

It is recommended that all students, regardless of their status as an athlete, receive an annual physical and documentation be provided to the school nurse to be kept in the student's medical file. If you have any further questions please contact Mrs. Rubbe in the nurses office.

Operation Hat Trick:

Due to the overwhelming response from OHT another order for hats has been placed. They will be sold for $20 and you can pre pay to reserve one! Hats will be shipped from the company on June 1st.  If you would like to order a hat you can email Erica Knolhoff at eknolhoff@sau80.org Students can place their order in the main office and money can also be dropped off there as well. Please see details of the initiative  below.

We want to raise awareness for our veterans and educate students in the service and sacrifice of our wounded veterans. We believe we can do this by creating a high school program throughout the state through the Operation Hat Trick program.
