Athletics:

Boys Basketball tryouts today from 6:00-9:00PM and tomorrow from 12:00-3:00PM.

 

Indoor Track:

All required paperwork for the indoor track team must be turned in to Mr. Hayward in room 107 before the first day of practice on Monday, December 2. Any questions or concerns, contact Mr. Goegel at jgoegel@sau80.org. NO FORMS, NO PRACTICE!!

 

BG Hockey:

The Belmont-Gilford Hockey team will be selling team apparel this year. If you are interested in purchasing clothing to support the team, please see Taylor Becker. Order forms and payment will be due on Monday, December 2nd. Buy your hoodies, hats, sweatpants, t-shirts and fleece jackets. See attachments below. 


Friends of Belmont Football:

Will be selling Christmas Trees at the Gates Farm just North of town of Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on right). We will start around 1:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 29th (Black Friday) and continue daily weekdays from approximately 4:00 to 8:00pm.

 

Booster Club:

Meeting Tuesday, Dec 3rd @ 6:30PM in caf.

 

Holiday Day Specialty Showcase:

Can you sing, dance, play an instrument, act, perform stand up comedy? Would you like to participate in our holiday show assembly. If so… auditions will be held after school Dec 10th – 12th in Rm 216. There is a sign up sheet located outside Rm 216.

 

Guidance Office:

Financial Aid Night:

Will be held on Wednesday, Dec 4th in the BHS cafe starting at 6:30PM. This is open to all seniors, juniors and their parents.

 

Christmas Cabaret:

Please join members of the music department and BHS faculty and staff for our first annual Holiday Cabaret!  On December 5th at 6:30 pm, the BHS/BMS Band members will be hosting a holiday musical showcase in the BHS Cafeteria.  Holiday treats will be served and there will be raffle items to enter to win!  Tickets are $5.00 at the door, and any audience member that brings in a batch of holiday cookies will receive a free raffle ticket for our wonderful prizes!  We hope to see you there!

Are sponsoring a child this year for Operation Santa Claus. They are raising money to buy necessities and also gifts for a child in need in our area. To help to convince you all to donate to this cause, they will be hosting a Stop the Music event , which will end today. If you would like to request a song, please come to the main office and sign the form (along with your donation, of course) We will be playing the music during every break and between classes.  We will continue to play music until our goal of $200 is reached. Even when $200 has been raised you can still donate money towards the cause! If we collect more than $200, we may be able to sponsor more children!

Today, Ms. Cascio and Ms Seiferth will hold an after school workshop for students in grades 9-11 who are interesting in learning more about the college selection process. We will meet in the Computer Lab from 2:30-3:30. Please sign up in the Guidance office if you are interested in attending.

For all students - College Night: Scholarships and Course Offerings to Prepare You for College tonight from 6:30-8:00PM. Please join the BHS PTO and the BHS Guidance Department for our "Are you ready for College" night. This session will focus on Scholarship Applications, Running Start Courses and NH Scholar program. Sessions will run approximately 35 minutes including Q&A. Join us for one session or for all but do not miss out! The PTO will have warm dinner items to purchase during this night. Please see attached agenda.

 Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams (and their families) will be having a pot luck dinner tonight  @  6 p.m. in the BHS Cafeteria to receive their individual certificates and Coach's Awards.  Please contact Coach Derosia to let her know if you are coming and what you will bring to share.

Students from BHS who attend Winnisquam Ag. are taking orders for Thanksgiving table centerpieces. Orders need to be placed by Friday, Nov 15th. Orders can be picked up or delivered Friday, Nov 22nd, Mon. Nov. 25th or Tues, Nov 26th by noon. A sample is on display in the main office as well as the order sheet.

Congratulations to Danielle Brennan on her acceptance to Columbia College of Art in Chicago and to Jason Taylor on his acceptance to Colby Sawyer College.

 

Athletics:

Girls Basketball:

Tryouts for girls basketball will be Monday November 18th, Tuesday November 19th and Wednesday November 20th from 3pm to 6pm. 

 

Boys Basketball:

Open gym on  Nov. 13th  & 15th from 4-530pm, Wednesday Nov. 20th and Friday Nov. 22nd  from 7pm to 830pm

 

Boys Basketball tryouts on Monday November 25, Tuesday November 26 and Wednesday Nov. 27th  from 6pm to 9pm.

 

Table Tennis Tournament:

 Austin Haddock and Matt Leclair will compete for the student table tennis champion.  This match will take place today during break in the gym. The winner will play Mr.Geoffrey during break tomorrow.

 

There will be NO table tennis this afternoon after school

 

 Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams (and their families) will be having a pot luck dinner on Monday, November 18th @  6 p.m. in the BHS Cafeteria to receive their individual certificates and Coach's Awards.  Please contact Coach Derosia to let her know if you are coming and what you will bring to share.

Sign up sheets are located outside the gym doors for all winter sports. Please be sure to sign up if you are interested in ski team, basketball, hockey or indoor track.

 BHS Math Team:

Congratulations to the members of the BHS Math Teams on their fine finishes in yesterday's meet at MVHS.  High scorer was Karl Wieck with a perfect paper!  The Senior Team finished in 3rd place and the team consisting of freshmen and sophomores took first place!  Way to go.  The next meet is at Gilford on Dec. 11th

Winnisquam Regional Agricultural Center:

Students from BHS who attend Winnisquam Ag. are taking orders for Thanksgiving table centerpieces. Orders need to be placed by Friday, Nov 15th. Orders can be picked up or delivered Friday, Nov 22nd, Mon. Nov. 25th or Tues, Nov 26th by noon. A sample is on display in the main office as well as the order sheet.

For all students - College Night: Scholarships and Course Offerings to Prepare You for College on November 19th  from 6:30-8:00PM. Please join the BHS PTO and the BHS Guidance Department for our "Are you ready for College" night. This session will focus on Scholarship Applications, Running Start Courses and NH Scholar program. Sessions will run approximately 35 minutes including Q&A. Join us for one session or for all but do not miss out! The PTO will have warm dinner items to purchase during this night.

 

Guidance Office:

On Thursday Nov 21st,  Ms. Cascio and Ms Seiferth will hold an after school workshop for students in grades 9-11 who are interesting in learning more about the college selection process. We will meet in the Computer Lab from 2:30-3:30. Please sign up in the Guidance office if you are interested in attending.

This panel discussion is led by Senior College Counselor Jay Hauser.Panelists include compliance officers from D-1 schools, college coaches and a former ivy league athlete.
