DESTINATION IMAGINATION
Congratulations to the BHS Destination Imagination (DI) team H La Vallee, Katie Seiberth, Grace Shaw, Ian Cluette, Kelly Hayes for taking 1st place in Sunday's Improvisational challenge. The team will be advancing to the State competition on April 1. DI is designed to help students gain knowledge and experience in areas including creative and critical thinking, project management, team building, conflict resolution, STEM, perseverance and a completion mindset. During the tournament the team competed in the improvisational team challenge as well as an instant challenge. For the Improvisational Challenge, the team is given a story prompt, a stock character and a performance genre on which to base a story and they do not know what they are until they enter the performance area. Instant Challenges are team-building activities that must be solved in a short period of time and account for 25% of the team's overall score. They don't know what the challenge is or what the materials are until they enter the room and receive the instructions by the judges. Great job team - outstanding teamwork.
