Fall Sports Awards Night

Boys Soccer

Good Morning Parents,

Due to the projected weather forecast that would render our field unplayable, the Boys Soccer quarterfinal game scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. is now being moved to Sunday, October 28 at 2:30 p.m. at Laconia High School.

There is a Division 1 playoff game between Concord and Pinkerton that is playing at noon, so the stands might be a bit full before the game starts. 

Again, with the projected forecast, our field would not be playable on Saturday or Sunday due to the amount of rain and precipitation expected to fall. 

Also, don't forget that our Girls Soccer team is hosting their own quarterfinal game today at 3 p.m. With the move to Sunday this will be the last home game at BHS for the fall, so please come out and support our girls!

Boys Soccer Today

Good Afternoon Parents,

Unfortunately, sun and wind have not dried the JV field enough at this point for us to feel comfortable to play a game on the surface today. We are therefore going to move the Varsity game to a 3:30 start time and play the JV game after at 5 p.m on the lower field.

District Text Messaging

Good Afternoon Shaker Regional Families and Staff,

Please be advised that our school district will be launching SMS (text) messaging to notify parents, guardians and staff of school and district events.  In order to be part of this launch, you must opt-in to receive text messages and your cellular number must be on file at the school/s.

Signing up for text messaging is quick and easy! You have two ways to complete the process. 

#1. You can text Y or YES to 67587 and be automatically enrolled (see attachment for instructions).

#2. You can wait until next Thursday, October 18th for a request from the District that will look like the message below. If you have not enrolled by Thursday, October 18th and do not receive the message below, please contact the school to make sure your cellular number is on file.

Athletics Changes

Good Morning Parents,

Shockingly, we have several weather-related postponements today:

Belmont High School:

The Girls soccer games scheduled for today @ Prospect Mountain has been postponed to Monday, 10/15. JV and Varsity girls will practice after school from 3:30-5:30.

The Boys soccer game scheduled for today vs White Mountain has been postponed to Friday, 10/12. Boys Varsity will practice in the gym from 2:30-3:30. JV Practice is canceled.

The D3 Golf tournament scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m. today is now teeing off at 11:30 a.m.

Congratulations Mr. Noyes!

Hello Shaker Regional Families and Staff,

I am very proud to announce that one of our outstanding teachers, Mr. Keith Noyes, has been selected as the 2019 NH Teacher of the Year. 

Mr. Noyes is currently teaching 5th grade at Belmont Middle School and has been teaching in our school district for 15 years. Each year, the Commissioner of Education selects "one exceptionally skilled and dedicated teacher to serve as an ambassador for all of the excellent teachers in our State." This year that teacher is our very own Mr. Noyes!! Please join me in congratulating him for receiving this outstanding award.

Boys Soccer

Hi Parents,

There has been one change today for our boy's soccer schedule. The JV game is now being played at 4 p.m. and will be played at Houston Field. See below for directions on how to get there.

Also, one more reminder for anyone in the area that today is our Varsity Girls Soccer Senior game at 3:30. Please come out and support our seniors in their last regular season home game.

DIRECTIONS TO HOUSTON FIELD (JV SOCCER)

From Hopkinton High School

 

-Go out back driveway past softball fields.

-Take left, follow to stop sign

-Take right at stop sign, 200 yds on right is a sign for Houston Fields and Town Library

-Enter parking lot, fields are behind library

 

From I-89, exit 6

  -Right off exit, follow road to the end, in center of town

 -Take left, follow over stone bridge to fork in the road

 -Bear left at the fork (you would bear right to go to High School)

 -Take first left (after fire station)

 -200 yds on right is a sign for Houston Fields and Town Library

 -Enter parking lot, fields are behind library.

BHS Athletics- 10/8- 10/13

Good Morning Parents,

Please find the athletics schedule for next week attached to this email. Hopefully, this is the first and only version and the rain will leave us alone this week!

Please note that Tuesday's Varsity Girls soccer game is the last home game for our girls and their Senior Game. Please come out and show those girls some support for everything they have given to the program the past four years!

Also, don't forget, today we are hosting our one and only home Cross Country meet, girls race at 4 and the boys at 4:45!

And finally, remember that up-to-date scheduling information can always be found on our athletics website game calendar, or by visiting our website and clicking on any of the team pages under the fall tab.

Boys Soccer Today (10/4)

Good Morning Parents,

There has been a slight change to the boy's soccer schedule today. The upper field has not dried off enough to play a game today so we will be adjusting the start of both games to allow for them to play back to back. 

The Boys Varsity game will now start at 3:30 on the lower field. Boys JV will now play at 5:15 or immediately following the varsity game on the lower field. Due to the threat of darkness, the JV game will be played as two 30-minute halves, not full 40s.

BHS Athletics Changes

Good Afternoon Parents,

We have had a few changes to our athletics schedule today due to the rain. Both boys and girls soccer have been postponed today. Varsity Golf is still playing today, but they will tee off at 2:45, not 4:00 p.m. Golf students will be dismissed from school at 1:45 today to accommodate this change. 

See below or check our game calendar on the athletics website for the most up-to-date version of all of our team game schedules. You can also get this information by clicking on each individual team page through the site's menu under "Fall." 

Girls Soccer @ Berlin. Postponed to 10/4/18. Varsity 3:30, JV 5. This will be at Community Field in Berlin.

Boys Soccer @ Monadnock. Postponed to 10/8/18. Varsity Only. Bus leaves at 1:30.  

I understand that the boys game falls on Columbus Day and I apologize for families that had plans. Unfortunately, there was no other date that worked for our two schools to get together due to scheduling conflicts with other games and field space.
