Girls Lacrossse:

The coaches from JHU are hosting a stick work clinic on Veterans' Day at Exeter High

School.Come learn from the Johns Hopkins Women's Lacrosse coaches! Get the latest

stick work techniques that will help you take your game to the next level. Stick work is

the foundation of the modern women's lacrosse game. Learning these new techniques

will help you playing in the spring. Learn how to develop your offside and how you can

practice with a friend or on your own. Space is limited and this clinic is open to all area

players. The clinic Fee is $50. Registration forms are available on the BHS Girls

Lacrosse website.

 

Media Power Youth Group:

Those participating in this group need to get their photo release forms to Mrs. Gagnon ASAP and no later than Tues. Sept 25th.

News from the Music Dept:

Due to food and beverage being found in the music room it will be closed during break

until October.

Student Photos:

If your student did not pass in their form and payment on photo day , it is not too late to

purchase a photo package. Order forms along with payment can still be passed into the

office until Wed. Sept 26th.

 

*Junior Achievement participants

If any student who has participated in Junior Achievement Titan in Mr. Hill's

Introduction to Business class is interested in an exclusive offer to be part of the store

team at the opening of Microsoft's new store in Salem, NH on September 29th, please see

Mr. Hill immediately. This is a first-come, first-served offer for the first 100 Junior

Achievement participants who respond to the offer. This is something you would be

doing on your own.

Clubs:

Student Council:

Any sports team interested in performing a skit at the Homecoming pep rally on Friday

Sept 28th need to tell Mr. Bourque by today.

Class of 2013:

There is a sign up sheet in front of room 202, for homecoming. Seniors need to sign up

for two hour shifts.

Homecoming Dance & Bonfire:

If you are planning on bringing a guest(who does not attend BHS) to the Sept 28th dance

& bonfire you will need to fill out a dance permission form. Those forms are now

available in the main office.

Spanish Club:

*2 NASCAR tickets, 2 Sat. race day tickets .$1/chance. See a Spanish exchange student

or seƱora. Drawing 9/20.

*The World Language Exchange Programs Outdoors Yard Sale Sat. 9/29.

Weather permitting 8 AM - 2 PM vendors wanted. 10 x 10 space for $10. If interested

please contact austinwilder@student.k12.nh.us

* 1 person needed for NHMS Sat. 9/22. You must be 16. You will work from 7AM

until 3PM. $7/hour. If interested see Mr. Deshaies or Sra. Hampton.

Yearbook:

Senior Yearbook Photos: Please plan to have your Senior Pictures taken as soon as

possible. The deadline for submitting Senior pictures will be November 9th. When you

go to a photographer, make sure to ask that person what the turn-around time is for

photographs and let them know what your deadline is. Let them know they can send a

digital file to Ms. Pitrone @ apitrone@sau80.org. Failure to meet this deadline will mean

that we will be forced to revert to your most current ID photo for publication. Please see

Ms. Pitrone with any questions.

Yearbook: Please submit your order for Belmont's very first FULL COLOR yearbook!

If you order by September 30, you can take advantage of the lowest price, $40. After

September 30th, the price goes up to $45. Orders may be submitted to Ms. Pitrone or

online.

News from the Guidance Office:

*Belmont Middle School is in need of a reliable junior or senior student who would be

interested in some community service hours help a young man at the middle school in

their LEGO League. This would take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:45-4pm

at BMS until November. Interested students should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance.

*Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the US Air Force, is a non-profit, volunteer

organization dedicated to training youth (12-18 yrs. old) in the areas of aerospace

education, leadership, character development and emergency services, while instilling the

values of integrity, volunteer service, excellence and respect. The squadron is also open

to adult members interested in air crews, and ground search and rescue teams. The Hawk

Composite Squadron, the local squadron will be holding an Open House from 6:30-

9:00pm on Thursday, September 27th in the terminal of the Laconia

Airport. Anyone interested in joining this organization as either a cadet member or adult

member, should attend this meeting. Any questions you may have will be answered,

including information regarding flight training and scholarship opportunities.

Refreshments will be provided.

* Job Opportunity! Canterbury Hall, located on 353 Baptist Road in Canterbury is a small

assisted living facility for mature adults. Looking for students who are 16 years or older

who can assist their staff in caring for these adults. The pay is $8.00 per hour and the

shifts available are Monday-Sunday from 3 or 3:30pm-6:00pm. Interested students can

call 783-9822, leave your name and phone number and the owner will return your call.

Community service opportunity for a high student who is willing to help a 6th grade

boy who is on the golf team at BMS. Student would need to be at BMS on Mondays and

Wednesdays from 3-5:30pm. Interested students should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance

Today, UNE 10:00am and Emmanuel College at 10:30aminterested

juniors

and seniors should sign up in the guidance office ALSO last day to register for 10/27

ACT's.
