Operation Hat Trick  New Hampshire Initiative Awareness Week:

We want to raise awareness for our veterans and educate students in the service and sacrifice of our wounded veterans. We believe we can do this by creating a high school program throughout the state through the Operation Hat Trick program.

This spring sixty one NH high schools will be participating in something very unique – the Operation Hat Trick NH High School Initiative. Participating schools will proudly display their logos on a special camouflage Operation Hat Trick hat that their students will wear during OHT Awareness Week. Athletic Directors have organized their student athletes to fundraise for these OHT hats and have been very successful. It is projected that the Operation Hat Trick NH High School Initiative will raise close to $70,000 that will be donated to Operation Hat Trick for use in supporting the awareness and recovery veterans programs in the State of NH. The donation from NH high schools is the largest donation received by OHT to date. According to Dot Sheehan, Founder of OHT, "I am extremely proud of NH high schools. This is an extremely important initiative as there is great need among recovering veterans in NH. I want to thank all of the Athletic Directors for their leadership, passion and energy in getting this done. The monies raised will help so many veterans and it is very much appreciated". Thank you to all those that have participated.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

1.        The week of May 12, all participating schools will wear OHT camo hats with their school logo for all baseball and softball games to raise money and awareness for wounded veterans.
