Athletics 1/15:

Alpine Skiing @ Bretton Woods 10:00am, Bus leaves 7:30am

There will be a Boys Lacrosse Meeting on Wednesday January 21st at 10:30am in the gym. (During power hour). Anyone returning to the team or interested in playing should attend.

Friends of Belmont Football:

Will be hosting their 2nd annual Spaghetti Dinner at Lochmere Country Club on Jan 31st from 5 to 8 pm (Greenside Restaurant located @ 360 Laconia Road, Route 3 Tilton, NH). Spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and many desserts will be served. There will also be a cash bar, and 50/50 raffle. Ticket Donations of $10 for adults and $5 for kids (12 years and under) will be greatly appreciated. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance from board members. Donations may be in form of cash, credit, and/or debit. 
Last year was a good turnout and we hope to see more people this year.
Monies  raised during this fundraiser will benefit Belmont athletes for their future football season. Gather your friends and family and come out and have fun with us!

Class of 2015:

Reminder for All Seniors Going On the Senior Trip to Florida: A second deposit in the amount of $150 is due by January 22nd.  Please make checks payable to Belmont High School and submit to Ms. Tardugno.


Attention seniors.

The yearbook staff will be collecting baby pictures from all seniors. These are due today 1/15 along with two other pictures of your choice for the slideshow. Please contact Ashley Fenimore if you have any questions


Guidance:

Laconia Adult Education is offering an SAT Prep Class starting on Wednesday, March 11th from 6-9pm for 7 weeks. The cost of the class with the book is $95. Please call the Laconia Adult Education office at 524-5712 with questions or to enroll.


Any student who needs to make semester 2 schedule changes needs to do so during Power Hour by Thursday 1/22. ALL SCHEDULE CHANGES MUST BE DONE BEFORE THE START OF SEMESTER 2!

 

Are you a student who is interested in journalism or writing? Boston University's College of Communication is offering a unique Investigative Journalism Workshop this summer. Attention seniors! Scholarships added this week include, the Unitil scholarship for Canterbury students who are entering STEM careers, Annalee  Thorndike Art Scholarship, John F. Mullen Scholarship, Lakes Region Board of Realtors and Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation. School to Work with Mrs. Burke:

Next Career Power Hour Guest:  National Park Ranger February 5th @  10:20 a.m. in Guidance.Please sign up in guidance TODAY if you are interested in Law Enforcement as a Career Path!  A catered lunch will be provided for the first 20 students.

Yearbook

Senior Recognition Ads: You can purchase an ad in the BHS 2015 Yearbook to recognize the accomplishments of that special graduating senior! Go to the following website (http://jostensadservice.com?REF=A05015800) to create your ad online, or email Mrs. Hamilton at khamilton@sau80.org to get an order form and have the yearbook staff put the ad together for you. The deadline is this Friday.


SALT:

Meeting on Friday January 16th @ 10:30 in the gym


Math Team:
Congratulations to the math team on their 3rd place finish in yesterday's meet at Newfound.  Great job! (especially in the Geometry category).  High scorers were George Savageaux and Dakota Wright who received 8 out of 9 points!  Next meet is at Laconia in February.

Teddy Bear Fundraiser for CHAD at Dartmouth

MaKayla Donovan is doing a teddy bear fundraiser for CHAD at Dartmouth for her Senior Project. Only new stuffed animals will be accepted. Please give the stuffed animals to MaKayla Donovan as soon as possible. The deadline is this Friday, 1/16.
