Dear Shaker Regional Families and Staff,
As our school year is well underway, I would like to draw your attention to a very important document, Shaker Regional School District's Strategic Direction (click link or see attached). This document outlines our beliefs, drives our decisions, and supports our mission: Engaging All Learners to Succeed in Their Ever-Changing World. Through many hours of hard work, a variety of stakeholders (refer to page 2-3) collaboratively developed our guiding principles, core values, mission, and vision statements. The most recent addition to the document was completed in March 2017. Over the course of two days, a group of stakeholders collectively determined action strategies for each vision statement (starting on page 16) outlining our work for the next five years. I highly encourage you to take the time to read and develop an understanding of our school district's direction as outlined in this very important document.
I will be sending out another email in the near future explaining how you can get involved in the process of assessing our progress and refining our action strategies.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments. I look forward to working with all of you in Engaging All Learners to Succeed in Their Ever-Changing World.
Sincerely,
Michael
