Good Afternoon Parents,I would like to take a minute to communicate with everyone about our homecoming weekend schedule. This week there have been a few small changes made to our schedule, and unfortunately, after the schedule was sent out this morning, we had to make one more.I sincerely apologize for the shuffling of our games this close to the event. I know how special homecoming weekend is and that many of you coordinate having family members and friends come back to watch our athletes play, and the last thing that you need is for the schedule to change so much. Please understand that these changes were made in an effort to accommodate several factors, the most important of which was an effort to space out the games so that our varsity teams had their own time-slot, which allows our students and community to watch each team play without having to choose between them. Our student-athletes also love supporting their classmates, so the changes also help allow them to experience as much of homecoming as possible. While I wish it were possible to also space the games out to allow for the JV athletes to not have to compete with the varsity schedule, it was not possible for this year. I promise I will look at this moving forward, as homecoming is a special experience for all of our athletes, freshmen-senior.Again, I apologize for the late notice on this schedule change, and for the resulting confusion that has occurred today with these conflicting new schedules. Please know that this is the final change to be made and that the schedule attached to this email is accurate. I assure you that when the schedule for next year's homecoming is made this fall, all of these factors will be considered from the start to allow for time for families to plan and to make our homecoming the best possible homecoming experience for our athletes and community. If you have any questions, concerns, or frustrations to voice over what has occurred with regards to homecoming, please send me an email, call, or schedule a time to come in and discuss them with me in person. I am always happy to listen to parents and members of this community when it comes to our athletic programs and would welcome that feedback to continue to improve our homecoming experience.Thank you, and Go Red Raiders!Paul LandauAthletic DirectorBelmont High SchoolBelmont Middle SchoolOffice: 603-267-6525 ext 1362Cell: 603-937-4003Twitter: @RedRaidersBHS"The strength of the team is each individual member.
