Friends of Belmont Football:

Will be selling Christmas Trees at the Gates Farm just North of town of Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on right). Hours are 11-7 on weekends and 4-7 on weeknights.  We would like to help many Belmont residents pick out the perfect tree! Thank You and Merry Christmas!

Drivers Education:

The winter session of Driver's Ed will start on January 7^th. The mandatory student/parent meeting will be held on January 6^th @ 6:00PM. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00PM. If you are interested in registering you can pick up a registration packet in the main office. Please note you will need to be 16 by Feb 20^th. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit due when you sign up with remaining balance due by the first night of class.

 

Class of 2014:

Deadline for completing your senior section is January 10^th. Failure to complete senior sections means that your student ID photo will be used as your picture and we will create a generic senior section for you.

 

 

Guidance Office:

Attention Students!  One of our seniors has created a survey about steroids for his senior project and would like all BHS students to help him by participating and answering his questions. It's totally anonymous, but he would like your honest answers. You can access the survey at  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VKK97XB.  Thanks for your help!

Due to Mrs. Hampton being out this week the raffle tickets for Spanish Club can not be drawn during Friday's holiday assembly. She is truly sorry if any of the items were meant as holiday gifts.

BG Hockey:

Congratulations to the BG Hockey team for their 6-2 season home opener win against Kennett last night.  Scoring for Belmont were Andrew D'Amour with 2 goals, and Caleb Drouin and Dylan Treamer each with 1.  Nice start to the season!

Will be selling Christmas Trees at the Gates Farm just North of town of Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on right). Hours are 11-7 on weekends and 4-7 on weeknights.  We would like to help many Belmont residents pick out the perfect tree! Thank You and Merry Christmas!

All students who have participated in Granite State Challenge (even if you have not yet competed) please come to a quick meeting in Room 216 at break today  to discuss our next Quiz Bowl on January 11 and to hand out permission slips.

BG Hockey vs Kennett @ Laconia Ice Arena 7:00PM

Nordic Skiing @ Gunstock 2:30PM – bus departs @ 1:10PM

 

Indoor Track:

Joseph Boles (2012-13 1000m indoor state champion) placed 1st in the 1500m at the first meet of the indoor track season held at Dartmouth College this past Saturday. His time (4:24.09) is the fastest in the New Hampshire Indoor T&F League after the first week of indoor competition and is a qualifying mark for the state indoor championship in February. Boles completed a unique double as he sprinted to a personal record of 7.19 in the 55m. Bobby Blais (42.60, 300m), Kyle Patten (41.30, 300m) and Michael Sanborn (28' 5.25", shot put) also set personal records.

Please note you will be able to purchase tickets all next week during lunches. Tickets will be sold until today.  The TV will be on display in the main office.

 Annual can drive will end today. Cans will be collected during Block 4.

Sponsored by the Class of 2015, tonight  from 7:30-10:00PM in the café. Admission is $6.00 per person or $5.00 with a donated canned good. Permission forms for students bringing guests who do not attend BHS are available in the main office. BMS students are not permitted to attend.

In recognition for any student who was on the high honors or honor roll BHS is giving these students a FREE ticket to a NH Monarch's Hockey Game!! Dates available to choose from are during Christmas break, they are 12/26, 12/28 or 12/29. Interested honor roll students can pick up a voucher from Mrs. O'Connell in guidance. The voucher must be mailed to the Monarch's to get your free ticket, vouchers need to be mailed by 12/17.

Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY is offering 17, four-year tuition, room and board Technology Scholarships for students enrolling in the fall 2014 semester. Student must be enrolled in the major of Computer Science or Information Technology and Systems. If you are eligible and want to apply use their on line link to complete your application. Deadline for applications is February 1, 2014.

The senior class is offering chances to win a 50" flat screen TV. Tickets are $5.00 and can either be purchased by seeing Mr. Deshaies or any senior selling tickets. Please note you will be able to purchase tickets all next week during lunches. Tickets will be sold until Dec 18^th. The TV will be on display in the main office.

 

Student Council:

 Annual can drive has been extended thru next Wednesday. Cans will be collected during Block 4.

Friends of Belmont Football:

Will be selling Christmas Trees at the Gates Farm just North of town of Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on right). Hours are 11-7 on weekends and 4-7 on weeknights. We have a new delivery of freshly cut trees for sale this Thursday, 12-05-13. We would like to help many Belmont residents pick out the perfect tree! Thank You and Merry Christmas!

 

Math Team:

Congratulations to the BHS Math Team for their third place finish in yesterday's meet at Gilford.  High Scorer was George Savageaux with 8 out of 9 points.  Great job!  Next meet is January 15th, 2014.

 

Drivers Education:

The winter session of Driver's Ed will start on January 7^th . The mandatory student/parent meeting will be held on January 6^th @ 6:00PM. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00PM. If you are interested in registering you can pick up a registration packet in the main office. Please note you will need to be 16 by Feb 20^th. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit due when you sign up with remaining balance due by the first night of class.

 

Holiday Day Specialty Showcase:

Can you sing, dance, play an instrument, act, perform stand up comedy? Would you like to participate in our holiday show assembly. If so… auditions will be held after school  today  in Rm 216. There is a sign up sheet located outside Rm 216.

 

Holiday Dance:

Sponsored by the Class of 2015, tomorrow night  from 7:30-10:00PM in the café. Admission is $6.00 per person or $5.00 with a donated canned good. Permission forms for students bringing guests who do not attend BHS are available in the main office. BMS students are not permitted to attend.
