Congratulations to Sydney McKim on her acceptance to Colby Sawyer College  to Nyasia Lewis on her acceptance to Curry College ,to Bridget Annis on her acceptance to SNHU and Keene State, to  Mary Kate Russo on her acceptance to University of Maine at Farmington,  and to Matt Leclair on his acceptance to University of Maine at Orono.


Athletics:

No games scheduled today

 

Friends of Belmont Football:

Will be selling Christmas Trees at the Gates Farm just North of town of Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on right). Hours are 11-7 on weekends and 4-7 on weeknights. We have a new delivery of freshly cut trees for sale this Thursday, 12-05-13. We would like to help many Belmont residents pick out the perfect tree! Thank You and Merry Christmas!

 

Drivers Education:

The winter session of Driver's Ed will start on January 7th . The mandatory student/parent meeting will be held on January 6th @ 6:00PM. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00PM. If you are interested in registering you can pick up a registration packet in the main office. Please note you will need to be 16 by Feb 20th. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit due when you sign up with remaining balance due by the first night of class.

 

Holiday Day Specialty Showcase:

Can you sing, dance, play an instrument, act, perform stand up comedy? Would you like to participate in our holiday show assembly. If so… auditions will be held after school tomorrow thru Thursday in Rm 216. There is a sign up sheet located outside Rm 216.

 

Holiday Dance:

Sponsored by the Class of 2015, Friday Dec 13th from 7:30-10:00PM in the café. Admission is $6.00 per person or $5.00 with a donated canned good. Permission forms for students bringing guests who do not attend BHS are available in the main office. BMS students are not permitted to attend.

 

Guidance Office:

In recognition for any student who was on the high honors or honor roll BHS is giving these students a FREE ticket to a NH Monarch's Hockey Game!! Dates available to choose from are during Christmas break, they are 12/26, 12/28 or 12/29. Interested honor roll students can pick up a voucher from Mrs. O'Connell in guidance. The voucher must be mailed to the Monarch's to get your free ticket, vouchers need to be mailed by 12/17.

 

Attention Seniors:

Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY is offering 17, four-year tuition, room and board Technology Scholarships for students enrolling in the fall 2014 semester. Student must be enrolled in the major of Computer Science or Information Technology and Systems. Interested students should go tohttp://www.marist.edu/admission/technologyscholarships/ for more information. If you are eligible and want to apply use their on line link to complete your application. Deadline for applications is February 1, 2014.

Clubs:

FBLA:

1. Our next meetings will be at 2:20pm in Mr. Hill's room on the following dates: Thursday, December 12th, and Thursday, December 19th (Holiday Celebration).

 

2. Can tabs for David's House can be turned in to any FBLA member or Mr. Hill.  Thank you! We will be collecting tabs all year long.

 

Class of 2014:

The senior class is offering chances to win a 50" flat screen TV. Tickets are $5.00 and can either be purchased by seeing Mr. Deshaies or any senior selling tickets. Please note you will be able to purchase tickets all next week during lunches. Tickets will be sold until Dec 18th.

 

Robotics:

Meets Monday @ 2:30PM in Rm 209.

 

Math Team:

Members planning to attend Wednesday's math meet need to sign up with Mrs.Delgado or Ms. Jemery today.

 

Chess Club:

Meets tomorrow at 2:30PM in Rm. 209

 

Student Council:

Will be running their annual can drive starting today thru Friday. Cans will be collected during Block 4. Student Council members will collect and count your cans on Friday, December 13. 


All Things Graphic:

Meets Wednesday @ 2:15PM in Rm. 106

 

Granite State Challenge:

Meets Wednesday @ 2:15PM in Rm. 216

 

Spanish Club:

1.Do you need a gift idea?  M&M, Toasted Coconut and Mocha Java Cookie Mixes $5 and BHS water bottles $7.  Contact a member or email shampton@sau80.org

 

2.Ladies, Do you need a Secret Santa gift for your friend? We have Red & White Rhinestone Bling: a med. black hoodie, I <3 BHS ( I love BHS),  or a sm. long sleeve BHS shirt.  See a member for your chance.  $1 raffle tickets to be drawn at the Holiday Assembly.
