Winter Carnival:
Sophomore Lip Sync practice today @ 2:15PM in cafe.
Granite Girls State:
Any junior girl who is interested in a week-long summer enrichment program at the end of June should come see Ms.Tardugno for details on this program by Friday. It is a low-cost way to develop leadership skills, learn about citizenship & government, and help build your college resume. The application deadline is May 15th.
Drivers Education:
1. Please note the current drivers ed session will have class tonight and tomorrow night.
2. The spring driver’s education class will begin on Tuesday, March 4th and will run until April 17th. If you are interested in signing up for this class please come to the main office to pick up a registration form. Please note you will need to be 16 by the end of the class. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit which is due when you register for the class. The mandatory student/parent meeting will be held on Monday March 3rd.
PTO:
Lakes Region Mom Prom is less than a month away! Where else can you dance to Bon Jovi, Blacked Eyed Peas, and the Bee Gees while raising money for the students of BHS! $20 pre-sale tickets are on sale at various school events during the coming weeks. Volunteer Babysitters Needed:
Sign up to help babysit during the town meeting March 7, 6-9 PM. Sign up in the Irish Alcove.
Guidance Office:
1. Seniors, if you have a parent who works for Concord Hospital and you are going to attend college, see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance for a scholarship opportunity.
2. The National Youth Leadership Forum on Careers in Engineering & Technology is being offered this summer at 4 locations in the US. This forum is designed to provide motivated students in grades 9-11 with academic and career insights in the fields of technology and engineering through interactive simulations, hands on workshops and informative seminars. If you are an interested student in getting more information about this summer opportunity, please see Mrs. O'Connell in the guidance office by no later than Thursday, Feb. 20th.

World Language:
The Belmont High School World Language Clubs are hosting another indoor yard sale this Spring ! The date will be March 8, 2014 from 9a.m.-1p.m. Setup will begin at 7a.m. OR you can come in the previous day and begin an early setup from12p.m.- 2p.m. To have table space, it will cost only $15! Start rummaging through the attic and garage to participate in a fun town event and get a head start on Spring cleaning. National Honor Society:

Granite State Challenge:
Granite State Challenge will meet after school today in Room 216. We will be handing out new permission slips for our upcoming Quiz Bowl meet so please attend if you are interested in going! Also, we will be practicing Quiz Bowl style to prepare for that meet.

Student Council:
Winter Carnival “Around the World” Semi-formal dance will be held tomorrow night from 6:30-9:00PM Tickets will be sold @ lunches for $10 or at the door. Food & drinks from a variety of countries will be included in the purchase of your ticket.
