Athletics:

Indoor Track:

Belmont High School's Joseph Boles, the 2013 NH 1000m state indoor track champion, successfully moved up to the 1500m distance and won his second state championship in two years. His time of 4:17.97 was a new school record. Seeded fifth entering the race, Boles utilized perfect tactics in kicking past his opponents with 250m remaining in the race to give him the victory. 

Bruce Zimmer placed 5th in the shot put, with a throw of 43' 3.5" Seeded 5th entering the competition, his consistency in the preliminary and final rounds  insured his state medalist position

Drivers Education:

The spring driver’s education class will begin on Tuesday, March 4th and will run until April 17th. If you are interested in signing up for this class please come to the main office to pick up a registration form. Please note you will need to be 16 by the end of the class. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit which is due when you register for the class. The mandatory student/parent meeting will be held on Monday March 3rd.

 

 

PTO:
BHS PTO is looking for parents and local community members to host a vendor table at our 1st Annual Lakes Region Mom Prom on Saturday, March 8th from 7-10 pm.  The Mom Prom is a fundraising event for the PTO.  We will have a DJ playing favorite dance hits from the 70s, 80s and beyond, and we are encouraging everyone to wear outrageous gowns !  The PTO is looking for vendors such as Avon, Mary Kay, Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Thirty One Bag, Tupperware, Norwex, hair salons, spas, candy shoppes, photographers and more to tempt our guests with some shopping !  There will be no charge to host a vendor table; however we ask that each vendor donate an item valued at $ 20+ retail for our raffle.  Please contact Carrie Martin to sign up, or for more information at

National Honor Society:

NHS is looking for a FEW GOOD MEN.  It is that time of year again to put on Mr. BHS.  This year 8 junior and senior men along with their female escorts will parade around the stage, dancing, showing off formal wear, and prancing in a swimsuit.  Please see Ms. Angwin in the Irish Alcove for an application

SALT:

Meets today @ 2:20PM in Rm 202

 

National French Honor Society:

Meets today @ 2:15PM in Rm 205

 

Spanish Club:

Meets today after school in Rm 105. If you are unable to attend you must see Senora’ during break.

 

Robotics:

Meeting on today@ 2:30PM in Rm. 209.

 

FBLA:

 Pink in the Rink  hockey permission forms are due today and the State Leadership Conference permission forms (2) are due on Friday, February 14th.  Dress code guidelines are also attached to the SLC forms.  Please note that the permission forms are separate from the commitment forms that were signed prior to registration for both events.  In addition, students going to the SLC will need to see Mr. Hill after Block 3 to get their competitive event guidelines and rating sheets.  Thanks!

Student Council:

Meets tomorrow @ 2:15PM in Rm 216.

 

 Winter Carnival “Around the World” Semi-formal dance will be held on Friday, Feb. 14th from 7:00-10:00PM. Purchase your tickets in advance today. Pre-bought tickets are $10 or $15 at the door. Food & drinks from a variety of countries will be included in the purchase of your ticket.


Chess Club:

Meets tomorrow @ 2:30PM in Rm 209.
