Indoor Track  State Meet @ Dartmouth College from 10:00-3:00

Joseph Boles (1500m) and Bruce Zimmer (shot put) will compete in the Division II State Indoor Track & Field Championship. Each is seeded 5th in their respective events.

 

 

Lakes Region Softball Sign ups:

If you are interested in playing for Lakes Region Girls Softball the next registration date is tomorrow from 8:00AM-2:00PM @ Belmont Elementary School. Girls must either be from Belmont or Canterbury and have proof of residency. If you are a new player you will need to bring a copy of your birth certificate. Winter warm up clinics are held every Saturday at Laconia Middle School from 6:00-8:00PM. The clinics will be focused on fundamental softball skills. If you would like to obtain more info you can pick up a form in the main office.

 

Drivers Education:

The spring driver’s education class will begin on Tuesday, March 4th and will run until April 17th. If you are interested in signing up for this class please come to the main office to pick up a registration form. Please note you will need to be 16 by the end of the class. Cost is $650 with a $150 deposit which is due when you register for the class. The mandatory student/parent meeting will be held on Monday March 3rd.

 

Commendation Awards:

Will be held today @ 2:00PM in the library.

 

PTO:
BHS PTO is looking for parents and local community members to host a vendor table at our 1st Annual Lakes Region Mom Prom on Saturday, March 8th from 7-10 pm.  The Mom Prom is a fundraising event for the PTO.  We will have a DJ playing favorite dance hits from the 70s, 80s and beyond, and we are encouraging everyone to wear outrageous gowns !  The PTO is looking for vendors such as Avon, Mary Kay, Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, Thirty One Bag, Tupperware, Norwex, hair salons, spas, candy shoppes, photographers and more to tempt our guests with some shopping !  There will be no charge to host a vendor table; however we ask that each vendor donate an item valued at $ 20+ retail for our raffle.  Please contact Carrie Martin to sign up, or for more information at

Shaker Regional School District Important Upcoming Meeting Dates:

Guidance Office:

1. The drop/ add period for classes ends today .

 

2.  Reminder to all students who plan on making up work or competencies that you must do this be 2/14.

 

Granite State Challenge:

For the Granite State Challenge members who handed in permission slips, we will be meeting at the high school Saturday Morning at 9:30am

 

National Honor Society:

1. NHS is looking for a FEW GOOD MEN.  It is that time of year again to put on Mr. BHS.  This year 8 junior and senior men along with their female escorts will parade around the stage, dancing, showing off formal wear, and prancing in a swimsuit.  Please see Ms. Angwin in the Irish Alcove for an application

2.  Last call for warm clothes.  Any size, any shape.  Please donate something you no longer wear.  Drop off in room 204 today.

 

Clubs:

National French Honor Society:

Meets Monday @ 2:15PM in Rm 205

 

Spanish Club:

Meets Monday after school in Rm 105. If you are unable to attend you must see Senora’ during break.

 

Robotics:

Meeting on Monday @ 2:30PM in Rm. 209.

 

FBLA:

Students who signed up for the Pink in the Rink Monarchs hockey game and the State Leadership Conference who have not yet received their permission forms need to see Mr. Hill today please.  The hockey permission form is due on Monday, February 3rd, and the State Leadership Conference permission forms (2) are due onFriday, February 14th.  Dress code guidelines are also attached to the SLC forms.  Please note that the permission forms are separate from the commitment forms that were signed prior to registration for both events.  In addition, students going to the SLC will need to see Mr. Hill after Block 3 to get their competitive event guidelines and rating sheets.  Thanks!

Student Council:

 Winter Carnival “Around the World” Semi-formal dance will be held on Friday, Feb. 14th from 7:00-10:00PM. Purchase your tickets in advance today. Pre-bought tickets are $10 or $15 at the door. Food & drinks from a variety of countries will be included in the purchase of your ticket.
