Athletics:

No games scheduled today.

 

BG Hockey:

Congratulations to the BG hockey team for their 8-3 win over Portsmouth last night to improve their record to 5-0.  Scoring for Belmont were Daryl Cahill (1 goal), Dylan Treamer (2 goals), Caleb Drouin (2 goals, 1 assist) and Andrew D'Amour (2 goals, 2 assists).  Way to go Bulldogs!!

 

 

BHS Girls Softball:

 Please mark your calendars… Open Gym will be held every Sunday in the BHS gym from 5:00-7:00PM  until the end of March. Times will be subject to change.

 

Lakes Region Softball:

It's time to register for Lakes Region Girls Softball 2014 Season. If you are interested in obtaining more information please pick up a sheet with the details in the main office.

 

Friends of Belmont Football:

1st Annual Spaghetti Dinner at Lochmere Country Club to benefit Friends of Belmont Football, Saturday, Jan 18th from 5 to 8 pm. Donations of $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12 will be accepted. Meal will include Spaghetti and Meatballs, salad, dinner roll and 1 drink ticket (non-alcoholic).Cash Bar and 50/50 Raffle all to benefit Friends of Belmont Football.

 

Belmont PTO:

1. Meeting tonight  @ 6 pm in the Guidance Office Conference Room.  We hope that you can join us!  BHS PTO monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month.  If you can't join us in January, please consider marking your calendar for one of our future meetings.  
2.Moms... do you still have a few special occasion dresses from the '90s in your closet?  We're going to give you a reason to pull them out and see which one makes you ask, "What was I thinking?"  The Belmont High School PTO is hosting a Lakes Region Mom Prom fundraiser on Saturday, March 8.  Mom status is not required, so get some lady friends together and spend the evening with us enjoying great dancing, light shopping, and fabulous refreshments.  More details to follow soon.

 

Student Internet Access:

All students who wish to have internet access on their smart phones and any other device that you wish to bring into school you must see either Mr. Russell in the library, or Mr. Fournier in Rm. 108 to get the proper form. Please do not miss class time to do this. You can pick up the forms between classes or during lunch. You will have until the end of this week to do this.

 

Class of 2014: Yearbook :

PARENTS OF SENIORS: There is still time to purchase recognition ads in the yearbook for your graduating seniors!  Please feel free to contact Angela Pitrone atapitrone@sau80.org to place your order or for more information.  Don't wait too much longer... the deadline for submitting final yearbook pages is fast approaching.

Guidance Office:

Students are reminded that semester 2 schedule changes need to be made before semester 2 begins on Monday, January 27th. Students can make schedule changes before school, during break, during lunches, study halls and after school. No students should be out of regular classes to make changes.


Attention Seniors! The Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation application has arrived in guidance along with the John F. Mullen Scholarship and the Annalee Thorndike Art Competition Scholarship. Applications available in the guidance office or on line at www.lrscholarship.org.


Seniors, several new scholarship opportunities have arrived.in the guidance office and can be located on the BHS website under "College Bound" Check the list often for updates and watch DEADLINES!!!!!

 

Class of 2015:

Unique opportunity for you. The Clarkson School in Potsdam, NY has a Scholars Award Program.  In order to be considered for this program, you must be a junior, have a class rank in the top 15%, minimum GPA of 93 and have a great interest in The Clarkson School with an early entrance option. If chosen for this program you could receive a $15,000 scholarship towards tuition and fees. If you fit the criteria and are interested in this program see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance by 2/15.

Math Team:

Congratulations to the high scorers in yesterday's meet here at BHS:  Sam Chiu and Danny Iacopucci.  Thank you to all who participated.  


Student Council:

Winter Carnival "Around the World" Semi-formal dance will be held on Friday, Feb. 14th from 7:00-10:00PM. Purchase your tickets in advance today. Pre-bought tickets are $10 or $15 at the door. Food & drinks from a variety of countries will be included in the purchase of your ticket.

 

Spanish Club:

Meeting for today cancelled.

 

FBLA:

1. Meeting schedule for this month. All at 2:20pm in Mr. Hill's room

2. All students who are eligible for the NH-FBLA State Leadership Conference on March 13th and 14th at the Radisson in Manchester and wish to participate should see Mr. Hill for a commitment form that needs to be returned by tomorrow with your payment.  

 

3. Can tabs for David's House can be turned in to any FBLA member or Mr. Hill. Thank you! We will be collecting tabs all year.

 

 

National Honor Society:

Will be running a warm clothing drive until the end of the month. They are asking for hats, gloves, coats, pants etc.. If you are interested in donating items can be dropped off in Ms. Angwin's room (204
