Athletics:

No games scheduled today.

 

Booster Club:

Meeting tomorrow night  @ 6:30 in the café. 

 

Indoor Track :

At the Sunday morning meet held at UNH, Belmont High School's Bruce Zimmer  placed 1st in the shot put, setting a new school record of 42' 1.75". Joseph Boles placed 1st in the 1500m (4:29.2). Asher Clark set a personal record in the shot put with a throw of 31' 11.75.

At the Dartmouth Relays on Saturday, Boles placed 6th in the invitational high school 800m. His time of 2:01.32 missed his personal record of 2:01.1 which he set on January 4 at the Boston University Mini-Meet.

 

Lakes Region Softball:

It's time to register for Lakes Region Girls Softball 2014 Season. If you are interested in obtaining more information please pick up a sheet with the details in the main office.

 

Boys Soccer:

Congratulations to Joe Boles and Austin Haddock who were recognized as Lakes Region Allstars for boys soccer.

 

Friends of Belmont Football:

1st Annual Spaghetti Dinner at Lochmere Country Club to benefit Friends of Belmont Football, Saturday, Jan 18th from 5 to 8 pm. Donations of $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12 will be accepted. Meal will include Spaghetti and Meatballs, salad, dinner roll and 1 drink ticket (non-alcoholic).Cash Bar and 50/50 Raffle all to benefit Friends of Belmont Football.

 

Class of 2016:

Class of 2016 will be having a lip sync meeting in the band room during break today  for anyone interested in participating.

 

Belmont PTO:
Saturday, March 8 the Belmont High School PTO will be hosting a Lakes Region Mom Prom!  It's a great ladies night out, and you do not have to be a mom to attend.  Just gather some friends for an evening of dancing, shopping and refreshments.  Wear that bridesmaid dress you never thought you would wear again or an old party dress.  If you don't have one in your closet, then we suggest going shopping for one at Goodwill or the Salvation Army and help out another non-profit organization.  Save the date on your calendar and start looking for that special tacky dress now.


Student Internet Access:

All students who wish to have internet access on their smart phones and any other device that you wish to bring into school you must see either Mr. Russell in the library, or Mr. Fournier in Rm. 108 to get the proper form. Please do not miss class time to do this. You can pick up the forms between classes or during lunch. You will have until the end of this  week to do this.



Math Team:

 All math team members planning to participate in Wednesday's meet need to meet in Room 112 at break today.

 

Class of 2014: Yearbook :

PARENTS OF SENIORS: There is still time to purchase recognition ads in the yearbook for your graduating seniors!  Please feel free to contact Angela Pitrone atapitrone@sau80.org to place your order or for more information.  Don't wait too much longer... the deadline for submitting final yearbook pages is fast approaching.

 

 

Guidance Office:

Seniors, several new scholarship opportunities have arrived. in the guidance office and can be located on the BHS website under "College Bound" Check the list often for updates and watch DEADLINES!!!!!

 

Class of 2015:

Unique opportunity for you. The Clarkson School in Potsdam, NY has a Scholars Award Program.  In order to be considered for this program, you must be a junior, have a class rank in the top 15%, minimum GPA of 93 and have a great interest in The Clarkson School with an early entrance option. If chosen for this program you could receive a $15,000 scholarship towards tuition and fees. If you fit the criteria and are interested in this program see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance by 2/15.


Attention Students!  One of our seniors has created a survey about steroids for his senior project and would like all BHS students to help him by participating and answering his questions. Student Council:

Meeting  tomorrow at 2:15PM in Rm. 216.

 

National Honor Society:

Will be running a warm clothing drive until the end of the month. They are asking for hats, gloves, coats, pants etc.. If you are interested in donating items can be dropped off in Ms. Angwin's room (204)

 

FBLA:

1. Here is our meeting schedule for the next month.  We will be planning for FBLA Week and getting ready for the State Leadership Conference beginning Monday, January 13th. If you are interested in joining the fun for the Monarchs Pink in the Rink hockey game in support of breast cancer on February 8th, please see Mr. Hill for a permission slip that should be returned by tomorrow.   Please also remember that February 8-14 is National FBLA Week, so we will have many activities going on that week.  Thanks!

2. All students who are eligible for the NH-FBLA State Leadership Conference on March 13th and 14th at the Radisson in Manchester and wish to participate should see Mr. Hill for a commitment form that needs to be returned by Friday, January 17th with your payment.  


3. Can tabs for David's House can be turned in to any FBLA member or Mr. Hill. Thank you! We will be collecting tabs all year.

 

Math Team:

Members planning to participate in next Wednesday's  meet need to sign up in Rm. 112 ASAP.
