HERE'S WHAT'S NEW:

 

PARENTS:  Report cards for term 3 were mailed on Friday 4/8/16.  Students with any grade of 60-69 or incomplete have until Friday 4/22/16 to recover those grades and credits.

 

College AcceptancesCongratulations to Melanie Nix on her acceptance to California State North Ridge.

 

Lost and found:  The lost and found items will be in the cafeteria until Thursday, April 14th, then it will be disposed of. 

 

Junior Parents:  There is a College Overview for juniors and parents Thursday, April 14th at 6pm, BHS cafeteria.  Topics to include the college admission process, advice for touring schools and tips for searching and finding the right school. 

 

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  This year's prom is being held at the Inn on Newfound Lake on Saturday, May 21st from 6pm-11pm.  Tickets will be on sale during the week of April 18 through April 22.  They will be sold during Power Hour in the lobby for $50 each.  Payment may be made in cash or checks made out to Belmont High School.  Guest permission slips will be available at the time of ticket purchase for anyone bringing a guest that does not currently attend Belmont High School.

 

SADD:   There will be a Students Against Deadly Decisions meeting TODAY during the first half of power hour in Mr. Hess's room.

 

It Takes a Village - Our Community Drug Epidemic

                 7:00 – 9:00 Panel Discussion

Free event:  No cost for dinner or event!

Event Details:  We welcome students, young adults, parents, grandparents and the public from all New Hampshire communities! Faith Hope and Love FoundationPlease see the attached flier for The Faith, Hope and Love Foundation's 10th Annual Gowns for Girls and Ties for Guy's Event. FHL will be giving out free formal wear to all young men and women looking to attend prom on Saturday April 16th from 1-4pm.

 

Raider RunThe annual Raider Run will be held on April 22nd this year!

 

Intramural Basketball

Anyone interested in Intramural Basketball, hosted by: Mr. Rainone,

When:              During Power Hour (10:25-11:15)

                         à Wednesday & Thursday

Where:             Gym

Description:

·         Pick-Up style Play (1's & 2's)

·         King of the Court

·         People waiting for next will play winner, and pick up any remaining players if necessary

·         Players on losing team will shoot for next game

·         Score count will be determined depending on how many show up. (i.e. 11 or 15, win by 2)

·         DO NOT SHOW UP IF YOU HAVE HOMEWORK TO COMPLETE

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

 

Cool Schools:  Don't get to Steeplegate much? No problem, support us by going on their Facebook page and comment on the photo of our poster, Belmont gets 25 points for every comment that refers to your school, i.e.  "Go Belmont"!  April double points for stores that start with A-K the first half of the month, last half L-Z. Each dollar is awarded a point. The countdown has begun. We need your receipts or copies. Help us finish strong!

GRANITE STATE GAMES TRYOUTS:

Coming this June the multi-sport competitive Granite State games for New Hampshire athletes.  These games are a great opportunity to get extra training, work/meet different coaches, and get seen in front of college scouts and most of all to have fun!  All events are open to incoming freshman (8th graders) – juniors (graduating 2017).

 

If you are interested in participating in the 2016 Granite State Games and have any questions please talk to Student Ambassadors Devin Poslusny, Chaz Hacking or Athletic Director Ms. Knolhoff.  Also, here is the link:
