On May 10, 2017 at 6:00 PM, the Belmont Elementary School, Canterbury Elementary School, and Belmont High School PTOs are pleased to sponsor the first in a series of community conversations about personalized teaching and learning. We will be kicking off the evening with dinner followed by a screening of the movie "Most Likely to Succeed." The movie prompts us to re-imagine the future of schools and to observe innovative learning opportunities for our students. After the 90-minute screening, I will facilitate a group conversation using the movie's key points to drive questions about our school district. This event is part of a series of opportunities to have open conversations about our school district's future status with personalized teaching and learning. We hope you can join us for an evening of food, entertainment, and enriching dialogue.
Please mark your calendars for:

Library News:
The library would like to remind all students with, with the new quarter starting, it's the perfect time to return or renew your books. Overdue notices will be sent out after April break, so beat the rush and start spring cleaning by clearing the dead weigh out of your backpack or locker. Return, renew, or just swing by to pick up some brand new reading material, perfect for long vacations or plane rides.
PTO NEWS:
The Belmont High School PTO is looking for a few volunteers to ensure the continuation of the organization. All current officers are parents of graduating seniors and will be leaving the organization in June. They have worked hard over the last four years to re-establish this vital group and are hoping that a few parents step up to take over the leadership. It took almost an entire year and hundreds of dollars to file all of the paperwork and collaborate with a law firm to establish the BHS PTO. It would be a shame to lose what they have started. If you have questions, if you are interested, or if you would like to nominate someone, please contact Donna Iacopucci, President, at donnaike@metrocast.net or 528-2601.
