RE-SCHEDULE OF SENIOR CLASS TRIP APRIL 20, 2017-APRIL 24,2017

 

BHS Competency-Based Teaching & Learning:

Please join Mr. Williams on Wednesday April 19, 2017 6:00PM in the BHS Café.

Mr. Williams will present Competency Based Teaching and Learning at BHS with members of the Shaker Regional Community.  All parents and community members are invited to attend.  This informative meeting will convey significant information about Competency-Based grading practices that will be used at the high school.

 

The last day of school for students will be June 16th.  In order to make up for some of the snow days, we are extending the school day by 20 minutes starting May 1st and ending on May 24th. The teacher workshop day that was planned for May 12th will now be a regular school day. 

 

In summary, for students:

May 1st - 24th - school day is extended by 20 minutes. Dismissal will be 20 minutes after regularly scheduled time.

May 12th - regular school day for students

June 16th - last school day for students 

 

Thank you for your patience as we worked to finalized the end of the year.

GUIDANCE

All 2017 Diploma of Distinction candidates must make an appointment this week with Ms. Ransom to finalize the details of their project and presentation. You will be presenting your projects on May 30th.

American Red Cross will be here for our annual blood drive on May 10, 2017! Appointments are available from 11:00-4:00. Please see Ms. Haubrich as soon as possible to sign up to donate blood for this very important cause! 

 

Junior girls who are interested in applying for the American Legion Auxiliary Granite State Girls education week 6/25-6/30/17 can pick up an application in the guidance office. The only cost associated with the program is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Students learn about the impact of government in today's world. 

 

Parents and students the BHS School Counseling Office has a very valuable website that provides a lot of information about what is happening in the counseling office. Boys State 2017-JUNIOR BOYS ONLY!

Junior boys with a scholastic average of 80 or better, be of good health and character with outstanding leadership qualities, this opportunity is for you! 

Applications available in the guidance office, there is ONLY a $25.00 application fee, all other fees are paid for by the American Legion. 

Boys state will take place at Rivier University in Nashua, NH from June 25-June 30, 2017

food and accommodations provided by Rivier University.
