NHDOE Draft Plan and Feedback Survey

Dear Shaker Regional Families and Staff,

Please be advised that the New Hampshire Department of Education has completed its first draft of New Hampshire's Consolidated State Plan as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).  ESSA replaced the No Child Left Behind Act in December of 2015, and the accountability provisions of the new law will go into effect in the 2017-18 school year.

The NHDOE's draft Consolidated State Plan can be viewed here. The NHDOE has also prepared an abridged, two-page summary of the proposal that can be viewed here.

The NHDOE has created a survey in order to generate feedback on the Plan before the final draft is submitted in September to the U.S. Department of Education.  The survey can be viewed here:

I hope you find this information useful and as always, your input is important.

Thank you,
Michael
