This CONTEST is for you!   All high school seniors who are college bound can apply. As a high school senior, you are currently experiencing the college planning and application process. The keynote address should be about this experience. Share your strategies, what worked and what you might have done differently. Is there anything you didn't expect? What did you learn that a high school junior should know? Remember that your insight will help the junior class prepare for what's down the road. Your speech may be funny, interesting or informative...hopefully a little bit of all three. Please refrain from a step-by-step to-do list. Your goal is to capture the attention and interest of your listeners with stories and energy.  All entries will be judged on content, relevance to target audience, originality, creativity and artistic and technical proficiency. Submit your speech at www.destinationcollege.org. Deadline is Friday, February 8th, 2013. Finalists will be notified in February and the winner will present the speech at Destination College on Saturday, March 16th at Plymouth State University and will also win $1000 scholarship.

In addition to fabulous entertainment, food will be provided, as well as the chance to walk away with a boat load of goodies through participation in several raffles that will be held during the event.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens.  These are purchasable through any high school band member, the high school main office, or at the door.

This event is a chance for the band members to raise money for their competition trip to Washington D.C in the Spring, and it is also a great opportunity for you to relax for an evening and see what students are up to.  Please join us for this wonderfully informal, fun and exciting night out!
