All current seniors are invited to the music room during power hour today for a senior reception with our Class of 2014 seniors. CURRENT SENIORS ONLY!


Athletics:

Boys Lacrosse:

Winner of the Boys Lacrosse raffle of the Go Pro Camera was Travis Cole of Gilford. Ticket sold by Colin O'Leary.  Thank you everyone for your support.


Class of 2015:

Reminder for All Seniors Going On the Senior Trip to Florida: A second deposit in the amount of $150 is due by January 22nd.  Please make checks payable to Belmont High School and submit to Ms. Tardugno.

 

School Store:

Congratulations to Mr. Geoffrey's for winning the school store contest.  The name of the store is now Raider Shack.  

 

Contest:

Today during the Holliday Day celebrations we will be having a Holliday sweater competition for students and faculty.  The Categories are as follows: Funniest, Ugliest, and Most Creative. Buddy the Elf will be the overall judge.


National English Honor Society:

The books are in!  Pick up your copy of SHOELESS JOE in the library before you head off to break!


Drivers Education:

The next driver's ed. Class starts on January 6th and will run until Feb 19th. Please note you must be 16 by the end of the class. Parents meeting will be on Monday Jan. 5th. If you are interested in signing up please come to the main office for a form. The deposit of $150 is

due when you sign up with the remaining $500 by the first day of the class.


Meredith Village Savings Bank Art Grant Competition

The Facebook contest is still in full swing and our #1 competitor continues to be Gilford.  Thank you to all who have voted. If Belmont wins, we have an anonymous donor that will provide an additional $3,000. Please continue to help by mentioning it at holiday gatherings, or any other opportunity you may have to gain a few more votes. BHS PTO:

We would like to ask you to help us by "upcycling" your used holiday cards.  We will be making homemade gift tags to use at the Holiday Fair in our Santa's Secret Shop. Please drop off your used holiday cards in the main office marked for BHS PTO and we will craft them into some great unique homemade gift tags for the kids! Cards may be sent to school before or after the holiday vacation.  Thank you and have a great holiday!

A reminder that the Shaker Regional School District policy regarding sports physicals has been updated and now requires a yearly sports physical for student athletes, If you have not done so already, please send a copy of your child's most recent physical to Mrs. Rubbe. Your child's doctor's office may also fax it directly to me at 267-5962.

Go-Pro Camera Raffle sponsored by the Belmont Boys Lacrosse Team.  Raffle winner will receive a Go-Pro Hero 3 White Edition and a 16 GB memory card. Retail Value $225. T'is the season for giving! Student Council is running a toy drive for the Belmont Police Department this week. Please bring money and new toys into your 5th block class. Donations will be collected at the end of the day on today.

Nordic Skiing meets today. The bus will pick up at the high school at 1:15pm. Skiers dismissed at 1:05pm. The race is at Gunstock at 3pm

Friends of Belmont Football:

Are selling Christmas Trees again at the Gates Farm just North of town on Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on Right) Hours are weekdays from approximately 4:00 to 7-7:30pm and10:30am till 6-7pm on weekends. All net proceeds benefit Friends of Belmont Football. These proceeds are used to fund Belmont's contribution towards the Gilford-Belmont Cooperative High School Football program.

 

BHS Holiday Band & Choral Concert:
Invites you to attend their annual Holiday Concert on Wednesday, Dec 17th @ 7:00PM in the BHS gym. Snow date will be on Thursday, Dec 18th.

Saint Vincent de Paul Children's Foundation in Laconia provides clothing, socks, underwear and personal hygiene items for infants through age 18. Applications are being taken and filled at SVDP the 16th from 4:30-7 pm, Please call 524-5470 for more information.

 

These wonderful organizations are always in need of donations so if you are looking for a way to give back to the community and help make a child's Holiday a little merrier, please consider donating.

1. BITS - ETC (Back in the Saddle, Equine Therapy Center) is looking for volunteers. Just one hour a week of your time would be appreciated. College Acceptance:

Congratulations to Brooke Thurber on her acceptance to the University of Maine @ Presque Isle, to Thomas Kuntz on his acceptance to Utica College,  to Brooke Thurber on her acceptance to Elmira College and to Colton Cadarette on his acceptance to Quinnipiac!

Sports Physicals:

A reminder that the Shaker Regional School District policy regarding sports physicals has been updated and now requires a yearly sports physical for student athletes, If you have not done so already, please send a copy of your child's most recent physical to Mrs. Rubbe. Your child's doctor's office may also fax it directly to me at 267-5962.  

 

Boys Lacrosse:

The Boys Lacrosse team will be a holding its monthly Boosters Club meeting, Tuesday December 16th at Sal's pizza in Belmont @ 6:30pm  If your son is interested in playing in the upcoming spring season, this would be a great time to come hear about the team and all the exciting fundraising events we are planning.  All are welcome.

 

Go-Pro Camera Raffle sponsored by the Belmont Boys Lacrosse Team.  Raffle winner will receive a Go-Pro Hero 3 White Edition and a 16gb memory card. Retail Value $225. Student Council:

T'is the season for giving! Student Council is running a toy drive for the Belmont Police Department this week. Please bring money and new toys into your 5th block class. Donations will be collected at the end of the day on Friday the 19th.

 

Contest:

Help us name our school store! Be creative! The winner will win a $10.00 gift certificate to True Confections and Gifts in the Steeplegate Mall. Fill out an entry form at the school store during Power Hour! Prize will be awarded Monday, December 22nd to the lucky winner!

 

Friends of Belmont Football:

Are selling Christmas Trees again at the Gates Farm just North of town on Rt. 106. (Just before Country Kitchen Breads, and Pike Industries on Right) Hours are weekdays from approximately 4:00 to 7-7:30pm and10:30am till 6-7pm on weekends. All net proceeds benefit Friends of Belmont Football. These proceeds are used to fund Belmont's contribution towards the Gilford-Belmont Cooperative High School Football program.

 

 

BHS Holiday Band & Choral Concert:
Invites you to attend their annual Holiday Concert on Wednesday, Dec 17th @ 7:00PM in the BHS gym. Snow date will be on Thursday, Dec 18th.


Drivers Education:

The next driver's ed. Class starts on January 6th and will run until Feb 19th. Please note you must be 16 by the end of the class. Parents meeting will be on Monday Jan. 5th. If you are interested in signing up please come to the main office for a form. The deposit of $150 is due when you sign up with the remaining $500 by the first day of the class.

Saint Vincent de Paul Children's Foundation in Laconia provides clothing, socks, underwear and personal hygiene items for infants through age 18. Applications are being taken and filled at SVDP the 16th from 4:30-7 pm, Please call 524-5470 for more information.

 

These wonderful organizations are always in need of donations so if you are looking for a way to give back to the community and help make a child's Holiday a little merrier, please consider donating.


BHS PTO:

We would like to ask you to help us by "upcycling" your used holiday cards.  We will be making homemade gift tags to use at the Holiday Fair in our Santa's Secret Shop. Please drop off your used holiday cards in the main office marked for BHS PTO and we will craft them into some great unique homemade gift tags for the kids! Cards may be sent to school before or after the holiday vacation.  Thank you and have a great holiday!
