Competency and Curriculum Awareness Night:

The administration of Belmont High School, in conjunction with the superintendent and the district's curriculum director, wish to invite the parents of our district's eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade students to a presentation about the direction that we are taking at the high school in the areas of curriculum and competency attainment. Parents of our seniors can attend if they want to, but the presentation deals mostly with our plans for next fall.

This update is intended to keep all parents informed and to solicit help in forming a strategic design committee to help us deal with some of the issues that will come up in implementing competencies at the high school. Change is indeed needed to keep up with the demands of the department of education, but more importantly, to help us meet the needs of our students who are going on to further their education, or to enter the job market.

I hope to see you all this evening, at 6:30 pm in the BHS café.

Drivers Education:

The next driver's ed. Class starts on January 6th and will run until Feb 19th. Please note you must be 16 by the end of the class. Parents meeting will be on Monday Jan. 5th. If you are interested in signing up please come to the main office for a form. The deposit of $150 is due when you sign up with the remaining $500 by the first day of the class.
