College Acceptance:

Congratulations to Danny Iacopucci on his acceptance to Brigham Young University in Idaho!!

Prom Committee:

There will be a Prom Committee meeting on Today 2/4 at 10:45 in the conference room. 


Drivers Education

The next driver's ed class starts on March 3rd and will run until April 23rd. Please note you must be 16 by the end of the class. Parent Meeting will be on March 2nd. If you are interested in signing up please come to the main office for a form. The deposit of $150 is due Feb. 13th with the remaining $500 due on the first class March 2nd.


Guidance:

On Friday, Feb. 6th The Winnisquam Ag Center will be in the guidance office during power hour to share information about the programs they have to offer our students. Any student who is interested in the Winnisquam Ag Center needs to attend this meeting in the guidance office to pick up an application and hear about course offerings.

 

Our current 10th graders had the opportunity to hear about the Huot Tech Programs on Tuesday, Feb. 3th. Any interested FIRST year student must have a parent signed application in the guidance office no later than FEB. 11th!!

 

St. Thomas University will be in the guidance office on Tuesday, Feb. 10th during power hour. Any student who is interested in hearing about the fabulous university should sign up in the guidance office. 

Laconia Adult Education is offering an SAT Prep Class starting on Wednesday, March 11th from 6-9pm for 7 weeks. The cost of the class with the book is $95. Please call the Laconia Adult Education office at 524-5712 with questions or to enroll.


School-to-Career Opportunities with Ms. Burke

1.  STEM Technology Day at UNH on March 16th - Explore careers in STEM, Operate a VEX Robot, Write apps for Android devices, Create a computer program, Explore the UNH Human Computer Interaction Lab, and MORE.  This trip has NO Cost and LUNCH is included!    

2.  Girls Technology Day at NHTI on March 18th **For Females in 9th & 10th grade*** - Some workshops include: 3-D Modeling, Building Mobile Apps, Cisco VoIP demo, Cyber Security, Greenfoot Game Programming, Kodu Game Lab, Making Ethernet Cables, VEX Robotics, and Inventing Apps for Android Phones.  This trip has NO Cost and LUNCH is included!

 

Space is limited so sign up today!  Permission slips are due on March 12th!


Snow Sculpture

Gather your teams together for snow sculpture building in Belmont!  Packets explaining the guidelines can be picked up in the Main Office or at Belmont Town Hall.  They are also on the Town of Belmont's website at www.belmontnh.org.  Snow sculpture designs must be pre-approved by February 6th.  If the snow is sticky enough for sculptures, a kickoff party will be held on Saturday, February 14th near the Belmont Library.  Compete against another class, or get a team together of friends or club members.  Show us your hidden snow sculpture talent, and create a work of art for all to enjoy!


Softball Registration:

Signups for Lakes Region Girls Softball are open to residents of Belmont, Canterbury and Laconia. Registration is at Belmont Elementary School February 11 from 5:00pm-6:30pm, March 11 from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Eligible ages are 5-18. Forms are available in the Main Office.


Organization:
There are students planners available in the main office. Great way to keep you organized going into the 2nd semester. (First come, first serve basis)

 

Costa Rica Travelers:

Meet the 1st half of power hour room 207

Math Team:

Math Team members planning to compete in next weeks meet should sign up in 
Room 112 with Mrs. Delgado by Friday


Robotics:
Meets today @ 2:30-5PM
