Athletics:

Nordic Ski Meet @ Waterville Valley. Bus leaves @ 7:45AM


Softball meeting today 2/5 beginning of power hour in the gym.

 

Drivers Education

The next driver's ed class starts on March 3rd and will run until April 23rd. Please note you must be 16 by the end of the class. Parent Meeting will be on March 2nd. If you are interested in signing up please come to the main office for a form. The deposit of $150 is due Feb. 13th with the remaining $500 due on the first class March 2nd.


Guidance:

1.Tomorrow, the Winnisquam Ag Center will be in the guidance office at 9:30 to share information about the programs they have to offer our students. Any student who is interested in the Winnisquam Ag Center needs to attend this meeting in the guidance office to pick up an application and hear about course offerings.

 


2. All Huot applications are due Friday Feb 13th

 

3. St. Thomas University will be in the guidance office on Tuesday, Feb. 10th during power hour. Any student who is interested in hearing about the fabulous university should sign up in the guidance office. 

4. Laconia Adult Education is offering an SAT Prep Class starting on Wednesday, March 11th from 6-9pm for 7 weeks. The cost of the class with the book is $95. Please call the Laconia Adult Education office at 524-5712 with questions or to enroll.


5. STUDENTS: The last day for incompletes/recovery grades from term 2 is Friday, February 13th at 2:30pm.


Upcoming School-to-Career Field Trips with Mrs. Burke.  Please sign up in Guidance!

 

1.  STEM Technology Day at UNH on March 16th - Explore careers in STEM, Operate a VEX Robot, Write apps for Android devices, Create a computer program, Explore the UNH Human Computer Interaction Lab, and MORE.  This trip has NO Cost and LUNCH is included!    

2.  Girls Technology Day at NHTI on March 18th **For Females in 9th & 10th grade*** - Some workshops include: 3-D Modeling, Building Mobile Apps, Cisco VoIP demo, Cyber Security, Greenfoot Game Programming, Kodu Game Lab, Making Ethernet Cables, VEX Robotics, and Inventing Apps for Android Phones.  This trip has NO Cost and LUNCH is included! Space is limited so sign up today!  Permission slips are due on March 12th!

 


Yearbook:

Senior wills for the yearbook are due on Friday, February 13th. Give or email those to Caitlyn Keville or Nick Oakes. Contact them if you need help or have any questions.


Snow Sculpture

Gather your teams together for snow sculpture building in Belmont!  Packets explaining the guidelines can be picked up in the Main Office or at Belmont Town Hall.  They are also on the Town of Belmont's website at www.belmontnh.org.  Snow sculpture designs must be pre-approved by February 6th.  If the snow is sticky enough for sculptures, a kickoff party will be held on Saturday, February 14th near the Belmont Library.  Compete against another class, or get a team together of friends or club members.  Show us your hidden snow sculpture talent, and create a work of art for all to enjoy!


Class of 2017:

Anyone interested in participating in creating a snow sculpture in downtown Belmont for Winter Carnival, please see Logan Wilder, Taylor Yelle, Trevor Hunt or Talia Sperduto before tomorrow. We are looking for four participants.

 

Softball Registration:

Signups for Lakes Region Girls Softball are open to residents of Belmont, Canterbury and Laconia. Registration is at Belmont Elementary School February 11 from 5:00pm-6:30pm, March 11 from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Eligible ages are 5-18. Forms are available in the Main Office.


Math Team:

Math Team members planning to compete in next week's meet should sign up in 
Room 112 with Mrs. Delgado by tomorrow.
