Sports Awards:

 Please mark your calendars for the following two events:

Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony dinner:

 June 6th at 5:00pm in the BHS  Café.  Any athlete who participated in a sports team (including unified teams) this year is invited free of charge.  Coaches and Managers are free as well. Forms are in the main office.  Cost is 16.00 for a single adult, family (2 adults plus any children high school age and under)-$37.00.

 

 Spring Sports Awards:

 Wednesday, June 10th @ 6:00pm in the gymnasium.

 

Golf Tourney:

A reminder to register for the Belmont Athletics Golf Tournament being held at Loudon Country Club on June 29th! National Honor Society: 

The annual Raider Run will take place at BHS on Friday, May 22nd. The National Honor Society organizes this event. This year's proceeds will go to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth. We are still accepting registrations for runners and walkers! It costs $10 to participate, and registration includes an official 2015 Raider Run t-shirt. To get involved, or if you have questions regarding the event, please email Colton Cadarette at cc0080@sau80.org or call the high school directly at 603-267-6525. 


Guidance:

There will be a meeting this Thursday, 5/21 at the beginning of Power Hour in room 212 for any current Junior or Sophomore who is interested in pursuing the Diploma of Distinction in their senior year. By the time of graduation, Diploma of Distinction candidates must have earned a cumulative GPA of 92 or better and have 32 or more credits, of which 14 are Honors, AP or Running Start credits. In addition, Diploma of Distinction candidates must perform a 25 hour community service project which culminates in a juried presentation.  If you wish to pursue the Diploma of Distinction, please come and find out more about it this Thursday at 10:20 in room 212

Class of 2015-Seniors:

We are now collecting deposits for the Boston Trip on June 1st. The cost of the trip is $30 and includes your ticket and transportation to Boston.  We would like everyone to go!! Please see a class officer with questions or your payment.

 

Children's Book Drive:  Spring cleanup and graduation season are around the corner!!

Alexa Silakka will be holding a children's  book drive as part of her Diploma of Distinction project through today . Drop off boxes will be located in Belmont Elementary,  Middle and high school. This will be benefiting The Belmont Early Learning Center. New or gently used books are welcome.

 

Please take note:

Mrs. Elizabeth Roach unexpectedly passed recently. Elizabeth had dedicated almost 20 years as an employee and to our community. Mrs. Roach was a founding member of the BHS Booster's Club and President for the last four. In order to support our athletes by providing team banquets, programs for games, and reinforcing team community, Elizabeth coordinated concessions and game volunteers, and was a continual presence at athletic events. A Memorial Scholarship for BHS graduates, based on participation in athletic programs and community service, will be awarded annually. Please share with others. Contributions may be made to the SAU office, 58 School St. Thank you

 

 

Job Opening at Belmont Elementary School:

 Shaker Regional Food Service is seeking a Food Service Assistant for Belmont Elementary School.  Successful  candidate must be able to work in a fast paced/ever changing environment and possess knowledge of cash handling procedures.  Prior experience in food service industry a plus.

"BHS PTO

BHS PTO has rescheduled their regular May meeting to May 28th.  They  will meet at 6 pm in the Guidance Office Conference Room on Thursday, May 28th.  This will be our last regular meeting of the school year.  Please come join them  to hear about how things went this year and plans for next year !"

 

Seniors:

Please return any outstanding materials checked out from the library as soon as possible.  If you don't know what you have out, or what over dues you have from previous years, please check in with Mr. Russell.  All fees and fines must be taken care of by June 1st, and you must clear your account in order to graduate.  Check your bookshelves, your laundry baskets, under the back seat  of your car... and try and get all books back ASAP!
