Girls Softball

The softball team won yesterday against Prospect Mountain 7-4. Megan Prescott pitched a complete game allowing the 4 runs on 5 hits with 8 strike outs. Chay Cadarette had two hits and reached base three times. Makayla Donovan had 3 hits and Courtney Clairmont had 2.

 

Golf Tourney:

A reminder to register for the Belmont Athletics Golf Tournament being held at Loudon Country Club on June 29th! Attached find an informational flyer and Team Registration form! Italian Dinner Fundraiser:

Italian Dinner Fundraiser this Thursday night, May 7 at 5:30 pm at Belmont High School.  Have dinner with us and support this great cause!  Our goal is to have a scoreboard installed on the lower soccer field before this fall, and some generous people have already stepped up to help us reach our goal of $6,000.  Dinner is $5 for adults, and $3 for seniors/students.  Please join us for dinner and a few extra surprises!

 Blood Drive:

There will be an American Red Cross blood drive at BHS on Wednesday, May 13th. Students aged 16 and over are able to sign up and donate blood.(16 year olds just need a consent form). Please see Ms. Haubrich as soon as possible to sign up for a time slot. Also, please talk it up at home, and encourage friends and family members to donate! Thank you!

 Drivers Education:

Summer Drivers Ed will start 7/14 and will go to 8/31 but the class will be very limited and the deadline to sign up with your $150.00 deposit will be May 29th. Parent's night will be June 15th @ 6pm.

 

Dates for 2015/2016 have already been established. If you are interested in signing up for any dates especially the first fall class that will start on Sept 1st please come to the main office for a registration form.

 

PROM:

All students must submit their table requests (8 people per table) to Mrs. Haubrich today by  2:30pm.

 

The BHS Junior Prom, Enchanted Forest, will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 6-11pm at Gunstock.  Prom march will begin at 4pm on May 16th at BHS.  Students will meet in the cafeteria to check-in and line up at 3:30pm.  Please remember to turn in a guest permission form if you are bringing a guest to prom who is not a student at BHS, or they will not be able to attend.  There will be a photo booth at Gunstock, but no professional photographer.

 

 

Class of 2018:

Any senior going into the field of education as a career can compete for a book award sponsored by the Shaker Regional Education Association. See Ms. Angwin for details.

Yearbook:

If you would like to buy a yearbook, you're running out of time and we're running out of copies! See Mrs. Hamilton in Room 206, email her at khamilton@sau80.org, or go directly to Josten's website to place your order.

 

Guidance:

AP Biology is being offered next year! Go to guidance and see if you can get it into your schedule. It's a valuable class to have for college. Taught by Ms. Deuell. Prerequisite is a passing grade in biology. 


Students in the Class of 2016 who are interested in obtaining Service Academy Nominations from the NH Congressional delegation should attend the 2015 NH Military Service Academy Day on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 9am-11:30am at the NH National Guard Headquarters, Building#1. Interested students should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance for additional details and

Spanish Club:

Do you ever wonder why there are so many fund raisers? We try to help kids fund as much of their trip costs as they can. We will be traveling to Costa Rica in the fall. Costa Rican Arabica Coffee: Medium, Dark Roast of Decaf; Whole Bean $8, Ground $9. An order will be placed after break.

 

Class of 2015-Seniors:

We are now collecting deposits for the Boston Trip on June 1st. The cost of the trip is $30 and includes your ticket and transportation to Boston.  We would like everyone to go!! Please see a class officer with questions or your payment.
