Attention Prom-Goers:
Please be advised of the following schedule for the day of prom:
May 21st
3:30 - Arrive at BHS to check in and line up for the march
4:00 - Prom March begins in BHS gymnasium
6:00 - Prom begins at the Inn on Newfound Lake
6:30 - Entry into the prom venue closes (you must be there no later than 6:30!)
From BHS to the prom venue is about a 35-40 minute drive. Also be advised that if you choose to leave the prom once you are checked in, you will not be allowed back in. If you need to go to your car, you will be escorted by a chaperon.
Girls Softball: Big 5-4 win for the softball team over Gilford. The team fell behind 4-2 but came back strong in the home half of the seventh with big hits by Jordan Lavallee and Jordan Sargent. Courtney Clairmont had a text book sac bunt to move both runners into scoring position. Julianna Estremera singled in Lavallee and Nicole Antonucci drove in the tying run on a hit to the right side. Taylor Lavallee came up and hit a bomb off the fence for a walk off double scoring Estremera.
Basket Raffle: Michael Sanborn is doing another basket raffle to raise funds for the Farnum Center North in Franklin, NH. The last basket raised $700 in funds with around $300 worth of material inside. This basket is a $500 value and tickets are the same price as last time. Please help Michael with his diploma of distinction project in order to help out those recovering from substance abuse.
Seniors: The Boston trip has been canceled due to lack of interest. Please see Mrs. Conway in the office to get your money back if you made a payment towards this trip.
EEES: Students interested in going to Yosemite National Park need to stop in to room 108 for an application and signature form. Forms are due: Thursday, May 19th. First, nonrefundable deposit for the trip is due June 1st. Students and parents can direct questions to Adrien Deshaies or Sarah Deuell.
BHS Drama: BHS Drama presents A Midsummer's Night's Dream on June 2nd through June 4th. Performances will be June 2nd and June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. and June 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Belmont High School. The cost for the event is $5 for students and seniors and $7 for adults. Please see the attached flyer.
Music/Art Show: The Music & Art Departments will be collaborating to present a Concert & Art Show on Wednesday evening, May 18th. The concert will begin at 7 and the art will be on display in the lobby during that week. Come partake of the excellent sights and sounds. For more information, please see Mrs. Fountain or Mr. Lounsbury.
Food Drive: This Saturday is the largest food drive in the country, and it's also the easiest to participate in. Just leave non-perishables for donation in a bag by your home mail box (or bring with you to the P.O. when you pick up your mail), and your local mail carriers will collect and deliver everything to our local food pantries.
The National Association of Letter Carriers holds the 'Stamp Out Hunger' food drive every year in May, and it really helps to stock the shelves of local community food banks, pantries & shelters. Last year they collected over 71 tons of food! Let's help make this the biggest year ever! Thanks for helping spread the word, and for all you do to help build a stronger community.
ALL FALL SPORTS ATHLETES: There is a MANDATORY meeting for ALL students preparing to participate in fall athletics on Tuesday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Belmont High School in the gym. Please see attached information regarding this meeting.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: We will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive at BHS on May 23rd. Please see Ms. Haubrich to sign up for a time slot to donate blood. Students age 16 and under can donate with a parent consent form. We appreciate your participation!
Aviation Discovery Day: Aviation Discovery Day is hosted by the BHS Freshman on May 14, 2016 from 9-3 pm at Laconia Airport. Please plan to come enjoy the fun!
