Student Bulletin

BHS DAILY BULLETIN

October 20, 2016

Next week, is the start of Red Ribbon Week which is in honor of Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique Camarena who lost his life working to rid our country of drug abuse. The theme of Red Ribbon Week this year is YOLO- You Only Live Once- Be Drug Free. Our school- students and staff need to wear a red shirt on Wednesday October 26th for our school to submit a photo for a national competition that could win $1000 and an ipad. Students and staff that are wearing red on that Wednesday will be able to go out to the soccer field at 10am to participate in our YOLO photo entry. It is also a great way for us to support our athletic teams that begin playoffs next week.

The Shaker Regional School District health promotion initiative is centered around our students' water consumption and the health benefits associated with appropriate water intake. We will be focusing our efforts with age appropriate education and role modeling water consumption to all of our students.  We will initiate this by placing a water bottle in every student and faculty member's hand, which can be used at the schools' water refill stations, and following through with health promotion education in all four Shaker Regional School District schools.

You can only vote once. Please share the contest with family and friends on Facebook. We are competing against area schools so every vote counts. Thank you for your support! Contest goes from 10/4-11/18.
