Dear Parents, I would like to thank those of your who joined us for our first "Coffee With the Principal." We had some great conversation on a wide variety of topics. The "Coffees" provide parents with the opportunity to interact and chat with building administration in a casual and informal setting. In an effort to reach the greatest number of parents we have created this short survey to determine the best dates/times to hold our next event. Please take a moment to complete this brief survey. |

BHS has some very fine musicians!!!
We sent 13 BHS musicians to audition for the All State ensembles on Saturday (a 14th was unable to audition). 13 students and 14 auditions later (one auditioned on both French Horn and Alto Voice), over half of those auditioning won a spot!
Auditioning were: Jacob Bowser, Ian Cluett, Jessica Dion, Michael Iacopucci, Isaiah Knowlton, Matthieu LaPlante, Michael Marrone, Nick Miles, Max Schott, Katie Seiberth, Grace Shaw, Jasmine Syed, and Piet Wolter (Cody York was unable to come to the audition, but spent a lot of time preparing and working on his audition material).
Piet Wolter will be playing trombone in the All State Orchestra.
Katie Seiberth and Grace Shaw will be singing in the All State Treble Chorus.
Matthieu LaPlante, Michael Marrone, and Max Schott will be playing in All State Band.
Jessica Dion and Jacob Bowser will be singing in the All State Mixed Chorus.
On top of all that, Max Schott placed SECOND IN THE STATE on Baritone; Piet Wolter placed SECOND IN THE STATE on Trombone; and both Michael Marrone and Matthieu LaPlante placed THIRD IN THE STATE on Tuba, and Bassoon, respectively.
With students auditioning from all over New Hampshire, BHS' music department is SO PROUD to have had fourteen musicians preparing, practicing, studying, and learning--and then to have had EIGHT of those students distinguish themselves in their audition performance well enough to have earned a slot--well, we are rather bursting with pride this morning!
Winning students will travel to Concord in late March to rehearse and perform with New Hampshire's top scoring students in their ensembles.
PLEASE join us in congratulating our students!
