REMINDER: THANKSGIVING BREAK 11/23, 11/24, 11/25 NO SCHOOL

SEE ATTACHED FLYERS FROM SMITTY'S CINEMA: "Star Student" promotion, which rewards students with A's and B's with a $5 gift card. All they have to do is bring their report card to one of our theater locations to receive the gift card.

The second flyer is our "Hairspray Live!" event. We are trying to see if any local school theater or drama groups would like to come in to view the show. Admission is free and we feel that this could be a great team building opportunity for these clubs.

District Wellness News:

The Meredith Village Savings Bank wellness grant contest has begun. This is an opportunity to receive $3000 for our students.  If you vote you could also win a Fitbit® Blaze Smart Fitness Watch for yourself! Visit this page to vote: https://a.pgtb.me/fMSGgh

Here is our entry:

The Shaker Regional School District health promotion initiative is centered around our students' water consumption and the health benefits associated with appropriate water intake. We will be focusing our efforts with age appropriate education and role modeling water consumption to all of our students.  We will initiate this by placing a water bottle in every student and faculty member's hand, which can be used at the schools' water refill stations, and following through with health promotion education in all four Shaker Regional School District schools.

You can only vote once. Please share the contest with family and friends on Facebook. We are competing against area schools so every vote counts. Thank you for your support! Contest goes from 10/4-11/18.
