Athletics:

Open Gym: today  & Fri 11/16 6:00-7:30PM

Tryouts: Mon. 11/19, Tues. 11/20, Wed. 11/21 3:00-6:00PM

 

* Nordic Ski Team:

Meeting today @ 2:30PM in caf.

 

SALT:

Team meeting tomorrow @ 2:15 in Rm 203.

 

 Winter Sports:

Sign up sheets are posted on the outside of the gym doors until the end of this week.

 

 Indoor Track & Field:

Organizational meeting today  after school in Rm.114.

 

Concussion testing:

Winter sports athletes that have not had concussion screening will need to see Mr. Fournier in Rm. 108 sometime this week to schedule a time for testing. All winter athletes excluding anyone who has already had the concussion impact test previously will need to do so before starting the winter season.

 

*The Senior Advisory of Sra. Hampton has started a care package drive for our military for the holidays.  They are accepting donations to include in the packages or money for postage through Dec. 4.   Please pass on any addresses or if you need ideas how you can help contact shampton@sau80.org. 

 

PTO:

The newly created BHS PTO will be meeting on the third Thursday of each month.  We welcome parents to attend anytime their schedule allows – no commitment required!  The November meeting is tomorrow night  in the BHS Guidance office.  Please come join us as we create our BHS PTO vision, mission, and focus. If you have any questions at all, please contact Donna Iacopucci at donnaike@metrocast.net .

 

*Turkey Plunge:

All willing participants of this Saturday, November 17th Turkey Plunge please see Ms. Harper Today, Wednesday November 14th, 2012. Please make all Donation to the Turkey Plunge Bucket in the PLATO Lab. Turkey Plunge Participants please see Ms. Harper today at your lunch! 

 

Food Drive:

Lakes Region Vineyard Church is asking for donations for their food pantry. Donated items can be brought to the BHS main office until Nov 20^th.

 

Guidance:

* Congratulations to Kurt Oberhausen on his acceptance to Lakes Region Community College

 

*Commendation Awards:

Will be held tomorrow @ 2:00PM in library.

 

*Ice Cream Social:

For all High Honors and Honors students on Friday Nov 16^th @ 1:45 in caf. Passes are available to pick up in the office.

 

*Are you a junior or senior interested in what the Marines ROTC can offer? Sign up in the guidance office to attend a meeting to hear all about it. Friday, November 16th at 12:45 in the guidance conference room

 

UNH Manchester is having an open house on Saturday, November 17th.  Students can obtain information a register online at: http://manchester.unh.edu/admissions/high-school-open-house  .   Besides the standard tour and admissions information we'll be running a session specifically for parents on: financial aid & how to pay for college, how to assist your child in navigating the college search process and the importance of selecting your senior year courses.

 

Clubs:

*Robotics:

Soda will be sold immediately after school in the lobby outside the main office all this week as a fundraiser for Robotics.

 

* Drama Club:

Pajama Games musical being held on Fri. Nov 16^th @ BMS – 7:00PM, Sat. Nov 17^th – 7:00PM, Sun. Nov 18^th – 2:00PM & 7:00PM. General Admission Tickets $10- students and seniors $7.

 

* ATG:

Meeting today @ 2:15PM in Rm 106

 

* Broadcast Journalism:

The BCJ team will be doing a Veteran's Day segment next week. If you have any pictures of family veterans, please email them to bhsbroadcastjournalism@gmail.com

* National French Honor Society:
We will have a meeting after school today  in room 205to prepare for the induction ceremony.  The ceremony has been moved to Wednesday, November 28 at 6:00 PM in the BHS library. 

 Class of 2013:  Fundraiser Opportunity: 

If you would like to participate in the Cash Calendar fundraiser see Mr. Foley to pick up

calendars.  They are for the month of December and are $5.00 each. We will sell until November 30^th. Seniors can see class officers during lunch to pick up calendars to sell also.

 

Class of 2014:

Anyone who would like to purchase a BHS tie-dye shirt please see Mr. Deshaies in Rm 209. T-shirts are $10 and are on a first come first serve basis as quantities and sizes are limited.

 

Fundraising :  Spain Exchange:

 Need an idea for a holiday gift?  BHS water bottle $10. Email señora - shampton@sau80.org. if interested.  Water bottles are available until they are gone.

FBLA:

*FBLA - Our next meeting will be today in Mr. Hill's room.  Please bring your thoughts on the holiday fair ... what worked well and what we should try to improve.  If you have not paid your dues, please get them in immediately!  Thanks!

 

 Can tabs - FBLA will be collecting can tabs throughout the year for David's House.  Students are asking families to set up a collection bag or box at home and periodically bring them in.  The can tabs will be delivered to David's House at the end of March.  Thank you for supporting this great cause!

Black calculator found @ FBLA craft fair – claim in office.
