Athletics:

* Uniforms needed:

Girls Varsity Soccer: Kenzi Phelps, Jill Carr, Nina Gordon,

Girls Volleyball : Cheyanne Carey, Jacque Martin,  Jesse Bergeron, Shannon Conway, Alex Lugar, , Alyssa Woods.

 

Boys Basketball:

Open Gym:  tonight  6:00-7:30PM

Tryouts: Mon. 11/19, Tues. 11/20, Wed. 11/21 3:00-6:00PM

 

 

 Winter Sports:

Sign up sheets are posted on the outside of the gym doors until today.

 

Concussion testing:

Winter sports athletes that have not had concussion screening will need to see Mr. Fournier in Rm. 108 by today. All athletes excluding anyone who has already had the concussion impact test previously will need to do so before starting the winter season.

 

*The Senior Advisory of Sra. Hampton has started a care package drive for our military for the holidays.  They are accepting donations to include in the packages or money for postage through Dec. 4. Items can be dropped off in the main office. Please pass on any addresses or if you need ideas how you can help contact shampton@sau80.org. 

 

Food Drive:

Lakes Region Vineyard Church is asking for donations for their food pantry. Donated items can be brought to the BHS main office until Nov 20^th.

 

Guidance:

* Congratulations to Adam Horan on his acceptance to Johnson & Wales University

 

*Seniors are reminded to inform the guidance office of their future plans (after high school) and report to the guidance offer all college acceptances, military acceptances or employment offers. This information is vital in accurate record keeping of our students.

 

Seniors are reminded that scholarships are arriving regularly in the guidance office. Check the scholarship section in the guidance office weekly and stay updated by checking the BHS website under college bound.  All scholarships are put on the website and updated on a regular basis.

 

 Students interested in receiving more information on attending the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine which takes place each summer for 10 days in various US cities should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance. This forum is designed for the highly motivated  high school student who possess the academic promise and dedication to become the next generation of leaders in medicine. Deadline is Nov. 28^th.  

 

* Winnisquam Ag Center:

Is taking orders for Thanksgiving centerpieces. Orders are only being accepted until today.  Latest pick up will be Nov 20^th @ 2:45PM. Centerpieces are $20.00 and checks should be payable to WRHS. If you are interested in ordering order forms are available in the main office.

 

*Ice Cream Social:

For all High Honors and Honors students today  @ 1:45 in caf. Passes are available to pick up in the office.

 

*Are you a junior or senior interested in what the Marines ROTC can offer? They will be here today at 12:45 in the guidance conference room.

 

UNH Manchester is having an open house tomorrow.   Students can obtain information a register online at: http://manchester.unh.edu/admissions/high-school-open-house  .   Besides the standard tour and admissions information we'll be running a session specifically for parents on: financial aid & how to pay for college, how to assist your child in navigating the college search process and the importance of selecting your senior year courses.

 

Clubs:

*French Club Fundraisers:
CENTERPIECES: Fall centerpieces are still available!  Some are in the main office, and more are available.  We are also taking orders for Christmas centerpieces. Ask a French club member or Madame (etakantjas@sau80.org) to order.

 

*Robotics:

Soda will be sold immediately after school today  in the lobby outside the main office  as a fundraiser for Robotics.

 

* Drama Club:

Pajama Games musical being held tonight  @ BMS – 7:00PM, tomorrow night  7:00PM and Sun. Nov 18^th – 2:00PM & 7:00PM. General Admission Tickets $10- students and seniors $7.

* National French Honor Society:
 Induction will take place on Wednesday, November 28 at 6:00 PM in the BHS library. 

 Class of 2013:  Fundraiser Opportunity: 

If you would like to participate in the Cash Calendar fundraiser see Mr. Foley to pick up

calendars.  They are for the month of December and are $5.00 each. We will sell until November 30^th. Seniors can see class officers during lunch to pick up calendars to sell also.

 

Class of 2014:

Anyone who would like to purchase a BHS tie-dye shirt please see Mr. Deshaies in Rm 209. T-shirts are $10 and are on a first come first serve basis as quantities and sizes are limited.

Spanish Club:

*Pre order pies for Thanksgiving by today . Pick up @ BHS Tues. Nov. 20. Apple, pecan, chocolate chip or pumpkin $10/each, Pumpkin cheesecake $20. Proceeds benefit exchange program. Checks payable to BHS Spanish Club.

FBLA:

 Can tabs - FBLA will be collecting can tabs throughout the year for David's House.  Students are asking families to set up a collection bag or box at home and periodically bring them in.  The can tabs will be delivered to David's House at the end of March.  Thank you for supporting this great cause!
