Congratulations to Paige Norkiewicz on her acceptance to Wentworth Institute of Technology and to Colton Cadarette on his acceptance to UNH.

 

Athletics

The Fall Sports Awards Night will be tomorrow night @ 6:30pm in the gym. 

 

Winter sport sign-up sheets are on the gym doors. Practice and tryout information will be posted soon. 

 

Alpine Ski Meeting:

We will meet the second half of power hour tomorrow in Room 111.  Forms will be distributed and dry land scheduled discussed.  We will be going to Gunstock for passes on Friday November 21st, 3:00PM.

 

 Girls Basketball:

Girls  basketball tryout times have been changed to 3pm - 6pm. (it was 5-8). And that's on November 17-19.


Hockey:

Hi Bulldogs Players & Parents!

 Hope your Summer / Fall was fantastic, the Hockey Season is upon us, now you're ready for a great Varsity Ice Hockey Season.   I know most of you have participated in some Fall Hockey Skill Sessions, and JR/Midget Hockey, some did Plyos, and some had Fall sports to help get in shape for the up-coming season.  Coach Londer is looking forward to working with the team, to get all our players ready for a strong 2014-2015 hockey season.  I am very excited about the upcoming season, I believe this year's team will have good strong team chemistry, great coaching, fantastic parents and a very motivated board.  All the ingredients for a successful season.

**** For Ninth Graders and any New Players Only, who have not had a Physical Examination by their doctor and on file with the HS Athletic Director, you need to do so before the season start date.  We can collect Physical Examination sheets at the Pre-Season Player and Parent Meeting.

Year books are on sale again  until November 16 they will be $43. You can pick up order forms from Mrs. Hamilton in Room 206 or order online at www.jostens.com!

 

Reminder to all SENIORS: Cap and gown measurements to be taken in the guidance office today from 10:45-12:45. All seniors MUST come in during that time to be measured for their cap and gown!

 

Guidance

Congratulations to Colton Cadarette on his acceptance to UNH.

 

Students in grades 9-11 who would like more information about the National Young Leaders Conference that will be held in Washington, DC in the summer of 2015 should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance. This conference is an intensive, stimulating leadership program designed to build skills and explain the workings of the government and the capital city of Washington, DC

Career Corner with Mrs. Burke

What:  2nd Annual Manchester Monarchs College Fair and Career Forum

When:  Wednesday, November 19

Where:  Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester, NH

Why:  Come and learn about different career opportunities in the world of sports and meet representatives from Manchester Monarchs, NH Fisher Cats, UNH Sports Law and Entertainment Law Institute, Local News Outlets, and Local Fitness Professionals.  Also, this event will feature a college fair showcasing schools from throughout New England. 

Cost:  $10 for Hockey Game vs. Worcester Sharks (puck drops at 10 A.M.) & money for lunch

 

CAREER PANELS at the Huot Technical Center are back!  If you are interested in the career pathway and would like to attend, please sign up in Guidance with Mrs. Burke.  There is no cost to attend and transportation is provided via the HTC bus.  Again, these panels are for students looking to explore career paths and hear directly from successful professionals in the field!

FBLA:

Holiday Fair - The Future Business Leaders of America would like to thank staff, family, friends, and community members for your support of our 8th Annual Holiday Fair.  The fair was a great success, but we recognize that this would not be possible without the support of many around us!

 

FBLA - We will meet on Thursday in Room 211 at 2:20pm.  Please think about feedback you have from the holiday fair.  We also have many agenda items to discuss, so please be on time

 

FBLA - If you left dishes or a dolly at the holiday fair, please take  them home today.  Dishes are in Room 211, and dollies are in the custodian's office.

 

National French Honor Society:

Meeting of current members in room 205 at the beginning of Power Hour TODAY.


BHS Drama:

What could be more exciting than a family reunion at a bed and breakfast in the tropics?  Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it! Join us for the BHS Drama production of "A Family Reunion to Die For", a fun-filled family reunion, full of laughs and ……….a mysterious MURDER (or two, or three)! Performances are on Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Belmont Middle School Gymnasium. Admission is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. Children under 6 are free.  Refreshments will be sold.


Class of 2018:

Just a friendly reminder that the absolute deadline to place a pie order isWednesday the 12th. These order forms should be dropped off to Ms. Lavallee's room (105) first thing Wednesday morning. Full payment is also required at that time. The delivery date is the 21st. Thank you!

 

Prom Committee

There will be a prom committee meeting today @ 10:20 in guidance. 

 

Table Tennis

Come practice and sign-up for the table tennis tournament today during power hour


The Annual Table Tennis Tournament will begin tomorrow after school.  If you are interested in competing please see Mrs. Bates before Thursday. Tournament dates are 11/13, 11/18 and 11/19.

 

Robotics:

Meets today from 2:30-5:00PM in Rm 209

 

Math Meet:

 Math Team members should be dismissed at 2:00 today.  Meet in the lobby by the CAFÉ for meet at MVHS.

 

All Things Graphic:

Meets today at 2:30PM in Rm. 106

 

French Club:

Decorate your table for Thanksgiving!  The BHS French Club made holiday centerpieces and there are some for sale in the back of the main office.  If you would like to take one, they are $12 each (checks to Belmont High School).  Merci!
