Congratulations to Caitlyn Keville on her acceptance to the University of Tampa, to  Katherine Jeas on her acceptance to Elmira College and to Doug Sanborn on his acceptance to Nascar Technical Institute!

 

Athletics

The Fall Sports Awards Night will be tonight @6:30pm in the gym. 

 

Winter sport sign-up sheets are on the gym doors. Practice and tryout information will be posted soon. 

 

Concussion Testing:
 Any Winter Athlete that needs a concussion test please see Ms. Knolhoff at the beginning of power hour this week.

 

Alpine Ski Meeting:

We will meet the second half of power hour on Nov 18th in Room 111.  Forms will be distributed and dry land scheduled discussed.  We will be going to Gunstock for passes on Friday November 21st, 3:00PM.

 

 Belmont Parks & Rec Ski and Snowboard Program:
See attached pdf for details. Children from kindergarten to 12th grade are eligible to participate. 

 

 Girls Basketball:

Will be held Nov 17-19 from 3:00-6:00PM.

 

Math Team:

Congratulations to the Math Team on their 3rd place finish in yesterday's meet at Merrimack Valley High School.  High scorers were Eric Osgood and Grace Shaw who finished with 7 out of 9 points! Great job.  Next meet is Dec.10th at Newfound.

 


Facebook Contest

Please take two minutes and vote for Belmont High School to win the art grant that Meredith Village Savings Bank is currently offering.  The prize of $3,000 for our art program at the high school would be fantastic!  Please vote, and also ask your thousands of friends to vote for us as well.

Yearbook Sale 

Year books are on sale again until November 16 they will be $43. You can pick up order forms from Mrs. Hamilton in Room 206 or order online at www.jostens.com!

 

Guidance:

Any senior that was not measured for their cap and gown on Tuesday, 11/12 should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance ASAP!!


Students in grades 9-11 who would like more information about the National Young Leaders Conference that will be held in Washington, DC in the summer of 2015 should see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance. This conference is an intensive, stimulating leadership program designed to build skills and explain the workings of the government and the capital city of Washington, DC

Career Corner with Mrs. Burke

What:  2nd Annual Manchester Monarchs College Fair and Career Forum

When:  Wednesday, November 19

Where:  Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester, NH

Why:  Come and learn about different career opportunities in the world of sports and meet representatives from Manchester Monarchs, NH Fisher Cats, UNH Sports Law and Entertainment Law Institute, Local News Outlets, and Local Fitness Professionals.  Also, this event will feature a college fair showcasing schools from throughout New England. 

Cost:  $10 for Hockey Game vs. Worcester Sharks (puck drops at 10 A.M.) & money for lunch. Permission forms and the money are due tomorrow

 

CAREER PANELS at the Huot Technical Center are back!  If you are interested in the career pathway and would like to attend, please sign up in Guidance with Mrs. Burke.  There is no cost to attend and transportation is provided via the HTC bus.  Again, these panels are for students looking to explore career paths and hear directly from successful professionals in the field!

FITNESS ROOM:

 Will be open tomorrow after school.


FBLA:

 We will meeting today in Room 211 at 2:20pm.  Please think about feedback you have from the holiday fair.  We also have many agenda items to discuss, so please be on time


BHS Drama:

Drama practice today @ BMS 2:45-5:00PM

 

What could be more exciting than a family reunion at a bed and breakfast in the tropics?  Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it! Join us for the BHS Drama production of "A Family Reunion to Die For", a fun-filled family reunion, full of laughs and ……….a mysterious MURDER (or two, or three)! Performances are on Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Belmont Middle School Gymnasium. Admission is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. Children under 6 are free.  Refreshments will be sold.


Class of 2017:

All Sophomores need to meet today in the gym at 10:20

 

Prom Committee

There will be a mandatory prom committee meeting on Friday, November 14th at 10:20 in guidance.

 

Table Tennis:

Any student interested in competing in the Table Tennis Tournament should report to the gym after school today. Tournament dates are 11/13, 11/18 and 11/19.

 

French Club:

Decorate your table for Thanksgiving!  The BHS French Club made holiday centerpieces and there are some for sale in the back of the main office.  If you would like to take one, they are $12 each (checks to Belmont High School).  Merci!
