Picture Day:
Picture day is today, September 10, 2015. All students are required to have their photo taken for ID purposes, they are not required to purchase a package. The form were sent with your student the first day of school.
Cool School Dollars:
When doing shopping at Steeplegate, save your receipts and drop off in the box in the main lobby. All monies earned benefits our scholarships.

Results Cross-Country:
The Cross-Country team reinforced their strong start to the Fall season yesterday at Newfound in some very uncomfortable heat. Alice Riley placed 1st (23:57), finishing 1:30 ahead of 2nd place, and Alexus Day placed 8th (27:31). The boys won the meet (36 pts), squeaking by Inter-Lakes (37pts). Ian Remenar was 3rd (21:16) closely followed by Nick Randos in 5th (21:58). Brennan Malone finished in 9th (22:49), Aidan Rupp was 12th (23:47), Isaiah Knowlton placed 15th (24:40), Dietrich Mahlstadt was 30th (27:29), Ellis Roundy finished 34th (27:44), and Kaleb Brown placed 37th (29:20). A difficult course with difficult conditions, well done all!
Seniors:
If you signed up to work at the Color Run this Saturday, you will need to be at NHMS in Lot S2 (Main Entrance - 2nd lot on right) between 4 and 4:30pm, where you will meet Mr. Hill. Please be on time, as assignments are typically distributed based on who arrives first. If you are not yet 18 years old, please see Mrs, Pitrone for a waiver that needs to be signed by you and a parent and get that back to her by Thursday. We may be working as late as 11pm, so please have clothes to keep warm after the sun goes down.
Clubs & Organizations:
Booster Club:
Booster Club is in need of new members. There will be a membership drive meeting next Wednesday (9/16) at 630 PM in the cafe. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Spanish Club:
Monarch Festival this Saturday, September 12th, 9AM-4 at Petals in the Pines, 126 Baptist Road in Canterbury.

French Club:
Anyone interested in joining the French Club there will be a meeting on Monday September 14th @ 2:20pm in room 205. Come and join the French Club and run for an office.
FBLA:
FBLA meeting in the library on Wednesday September 16th, at 2:20pm
CLASS OF 2017 PROM COMMITTEE:
There will be a meeting for all students interested in participating on the Prom Committee Thursday 9/10/15,
During the first half of power hour in Ms. Tardugno's Room 208.

Auditions for Drama:
Auditions for CATS will be held Thursday September 10th, from 2:30-4:15 in the cafeteria. Students who are interested in participating should take a copy of the music in advance and come to either audition date which will include three parts: Movement/acting, dance and music/voicing. Audition materials are posted on the bulletin board outside the band room. Please see Ms.Pitrone in room 210 or Ms. Fountain in the band room with any questions.
Guidance:
1. Any senior who is applying to for Service Academy Nominations from Senator Jeanne Shaheen needs to have all their application materials postmarked or hand delivered to her Manchester office by the close of business on Friday, October 2, 2015.
2. Any senior who is applying for the 32 credit diploma of distinction, the 20 credit diploma or an application to be an early graduate must see Mrs. O'Connell in the guidance office to pick up applications for this process. Completed applications are due back in the guidance office by October 15th.
3. Our first college Mini-Fair is scheduled for Friday, September 18th from 9:20-10:20 in the cafeteria. All juniors and seniors will be invited to attend.
Laconia Adult Education:
Laconia Adult Education will be offering an SAT Preparation Class beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015. The SAT prep class will meet from 6-9pm for a period of 7 weeks. The SAT prep class is scheduled to end on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015. The cost of the class is as follows:
Registration $75, book fee $20, total cost is $95.00. For more information and to enroll contact Peggy Selig at Laconia Adult Education at 524-5712.
National Honor Society:
National Honor Society Members: We are signed up to do the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk on October 25th at 10:00 am. Please plan accordingly, and email me your t-shirt size at jhaubrich@sau80.org. Thank you! Ms Haubrich

2. Ocean Discovery Day at UNH on October 16th – Students interested in exploring careers in Marine Science should take advantage of this opportunity!
