Dear Shaker Regional Families and Staff,
Due to the growing concerns over the spread of the Coronavirus in New Hampshire, schools will be closed starting this Tuesday (3/17) through a tentative date of April 3rd. Schools will be open tomorrow, Monday (3/16) in order to provide students with the materials they will need for remote learning opportunities. Families, please send your students in with something to bring resources home. For tomorrow, schools will only be accessible to students and staff. Visitors and volunteers will not be allowed in the facilities. Teachers will be engaged in developing lessons for remote learning on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Support staff will be assisting in preparing materials as well. Remote learning will begin on Monday 3/23.
In summary:
Monday 3/16 : Schools are open with a regular schedule. No after school activities or events. No visitors or volunteers will be allowed in the facilities.
Tuesday 3/17 - 4/3 : Schools closed.
The main method of communication through the extended closure will be through email. I will provide you with details regarding the plans for remote learning and food delivery and/or pick-up in a separate email. Our goal is to support our students and families to the best of our ability while keeping the well-being and safety of our learning community our top priority.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support during these trying times. As a community, we will get through this together.
Sincerely,
Michael
