Update: Remote Learning Resources, Remote Learning Plans, Food

Hello Families,
A quick update...We served 254 meals today and most of you picked up your student's remote learning resources. It was nice to see several of you today.

Remote Learning Resources:
Our pick-up, drive-through service will continue through tomorrow. There will be a traffic pattern established at each school.  Please follow the signs and the instructions from staff.  You will be asked your student's name and grade at time of pick-up. The schedule is as follows:

BES, BMS, BHS:
  • Friday (3/20):

    • K-O: 8-10am

    • U-Z: 10am-12pm

    • P-T: 12pm-2pm

    • F-J: 2-4pm

    • A-E: 4-6pm

CES:
     Friday: 8am - 6pm for all students.

If there are extenuating circumstances for which you are unable to make these times. Please contact your student's school. The main contacts are: BES - Lisa Tuthill ltuthill@sau80.org or 267-6568, BMS - Cherri Drake cdrake@sau80.org or 267-9220, BHS - Louise Pridham lpridham@sau80.org or 267-6525, and CES - Lynn Blanchette lblanchette@sau80.org or 783-9944.

Remote Learning Plans:
You will receive documents outlining remote learning plans, internet access and hotspots, and a link to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) on how to talk to your children about COVID-19. This information will be sent via email to you by your building principal by 4pm today.

Food:
Food Pick-Up for All Students, BHS and CES, 8 AM - 11 AM, will continue through Friday and will continue throughout the extended closure. On top of the pick-up option, we will begin utilizing our buses for daily food deliveries starting Monday, March 23rd.  We are developing specific bus stop locations throughout the community. I will provide you, in a separate email, all of the details including location of each bus stop and the bus schedule before the end of the day tomorrow.

Communication:
Our main method of communication will continue to be through email. I will use our SchoolMessenger call/text system when necessary. You can also get updates by following us on social media: Facebook (facebook.com/ShakerRegionalSD), Twitter (@ShakerRegional) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/shakerregionalsd/).

Please continue to contact me with any questions or concerns and continue to check your email. I want to thank all of you for your patience as these plans have unfolded. We will get through this together!
Thank you.
Michael
