Update: Getting food and resources to students

Good Afternoon Families,

This week's plan for providing food and remote learning resources to our students is as follows:

Food:

We will begin a food pick-up service at Belmont High School and Canterbury Elementary School starting tomorrow morning at 8 AM through 11 AM. This is a drive-thru service that will be available to all students. Drive-thru routes will be indicated by signs at each school. We will be providing a bagged breakfast and lunch at pick-up. You will be asked your student's name so we can keep track of the number of meals we need to prepare daily. Student's meal accounts will not be charged. We are providing free breakfast and lunch to all students. In the future, we are working on plans for delivering food to students utilizing our buses and bus stops. I will keep you posted on future plans prior to the end of this week.

Summary: Food Pick-Up for All Students, BHS and CES, 8 AM - 11 AM, Tuesday through Friday of this week.

Remote Learning Resources:

Teachers and assistants will be preparing and packaging remote learning resources (chromebooks, books, pencils, etc.) tomorrow and Wednesday. Families and students can begin picking up these resources starting Thursday into Friday from 8am through 6pm. Middle and high school students can access their lockers to retrieve personal items at the time of pick-up. In order to minimize the number of people in the building and to accommodate schedules, we are running the following pick-up schedule for BES, BMS, and BHS by the first letter of the student's last name:

BES, BMS, BHS:
  • Thursday:

    • A-E: 8-10am

    • F-J: 10am-12pm

    • K-O: 12-2pm

    • P-T: 2-4pm

    • U-Z: 4-6pm

  • Friday:

    • K-O: 8-10am

    • U-Z: 10am-12pm

    • P-T: 12pm-2pm

    • F-J: 2-4pm

    • A-E: 4-6pm

CES:
Thursday and Friday: 8am - 6pm for all students.

Once we begin remote learning on Monday, March 23rd, we will make sure students have any additional resources they need either through pick-up or delivery.

Summary: Remote Learning Resources: Pick-up at the schools Thursday and Friday (refer to the above schedule).

Our goal is to make sure all of our students get breakfast, lunch and the learning materials they need. Please continue to check your email for future updates.

Thank you.
Michael
