Girls Lacrosse Fundraisers:
- The BHS Girls Lacrosse team will be hosting a fundraising night at Uno's in Tilton on Friday May 17th. Come out and support the girls by having dinner and a portion of the bill will be donated to the team. Any questions please contact Marta Robbins @ mrobbins@nhada.com
- Muse Paint Bar in Manchester on May 26th from 12:00- 2:15 . They will donate up to 50%

Booster Club:
As the Belmont High School Booster Club's Banquet approaches we need to get a count of all who plan to attend whether athlete or family. This year the Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducting Coach John Goegel.
Our aim as a Club continues to do our best to ensure all those students participating in the BHS athletic program know that we appreciate them as students and appreciate their contributions to their sport or sports of choice.
This year's banquet will be held on Friday, May 31st in the Belmont High School cafeteria. This is after the Spring Sports Awards. All athletes are our guests. (Free meal) We will have a fully catered meal, BHS Athletic Hall of Fame presentation, and a slide show. Each student athlete also receives a small gift of appreciation.
If you have not yet let us know that you will be attending we would love to hear from you. You may leave your notice in the Booster Club mailbox in the main office, or you may reply to elizabethroach@aol.com.
Spring Pops Concert:
Wednesday, May 15th @ 7:00PM in the BHS gym. This concert is for band and chorus students.
Eat for a Cause:
Come out and enjoy a hearty meal with all profits being donated to Relay for Life Foundation. The menu will include lasagna, salad, breadsticks, and dessert. Dinner is purchased by the plate, so grab your friends and family. The lasagna dinner will be held on Wednesday, May 15th @ 5:00PM in the BHS cafeteria. Adults $8, Students $5, Under 5 yrs old is FREE.
A Judge & Lawyer in Every School Day:
Tomorrow during blk 1, Judge Gerry Boyle will be visiting the high school as part of "A Judge & Lawyer in Every School Day". He will be speaking about our legal system, courts, and laws. He visited us three years ago and spoke engagingly and soberingly about laws related to teens. Any student interested in the legal field or court system can come hear Judge Gerry Boyle from the Concord District Courts speak this Friday during first block. If you are interested, please see Ms.Tardugno for a permission form.

Summer Intern Program:
LRGHealthcare is offering local teens, ages 15-18, interested in a career in healthcare, the opportunity to participate in a summer intern program. Upon completion, students will be eligible to volunteer working directly with the nurse's aides. There are 2 sessions July 15-19 or Aug 5-9. Internet Safety Informational Night:
Sponsored by the Belmont Police Dept., May 13th @ 6:00PM in the BHS cafeteria. The topics of discussion will be risks and benefits of social networking, how to recognize if your child may be at risk, and prevention from becoming a victim.
Raider Run:
Raider Run will be held today during 5th block.
HYPE Philosophy Day:There will be a mandatory meeting today @ 2:15PM in the library for all students who will be participating in the Field trip.

Laconia Athletic and Swim Club is offering 2 Lifeguard Training Courses and one WSI course this Spring! Get certified now for your Summer Job. |

Lifeguarding Participants will be certified in CPR/AED for the professional rescer, Lifeguard Training and First Aid. Certification is good for 2 years. Participants must be 15 years of age by end of the course. Price $325. Swimming pretest.
WSI (Water Safety Instructor) Participants will be certified to teach swim lessons to the young and old. Must be 16 years of age. Price $325 Swimming pretest.

Job Fair:
Will be held on May 22nd from 10 a.m.-3pm at AutoServ in Tilton. See Ms. Madsen if you would like some help preparing to fill out applications and with writing a resume.
2013 NH Military Service Academy Day:
Will be held on Saturday, May 11th from 9am to 11:30am at the NH National Guard Headquarters -Building M in Concord, NH. This is for students interested in obtaining Service Academy Nominations from the NH Congressional delegation and for those interested in attending any of our Nation's Service Academies. Staff from the offices of Senator Shaheen, Senator Ayotte, Congresswoman Shea-Porter and Congresswoman Kuster will be available to discuss the nomination process. Also on hand for the event will be representatives from the US Military Academy, US Merchant Marine Academy, US Air Force Academy, US Naval Academy and the US Coast Guard Academy. Please see Mrs. O'Connell in guidance for more information on how to RSVP and what you must bring with you to the event.
FREE Summer School Classes at BHS:
We are offering a few summer school classes for students interested in taking classes this summer to build credits on their transcript.
1. Digital Photography with Mr. Frick being offered from June 24-Aug 1st. (6 wks)Classes are Monday & Wednesday from 8am-10:30am or Tuesday & Thursday from 8am-10:30am. At least 8 students have to sign up for each section in order to run a class. Permission slip and class syllabus are in guidance. Please note: Space is limited so you are encouraged to sign up in guidance and get a permission slip.
2. Creative Writing with Ms. Pitrone being offered from June 24-Aug 1st. Classes are Monday and Wednesday from 10:30am-1pm
3. Theatre Arts with Ms. Pitrone from June 24-Aug 1st, classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30am-1pm. Permission slip and class syllabus are in guidance. Please sign up in the guidance office and get a permission slip. At least 8 students must sign up for each class or the class will be cancelled.
Students who are interested in taking any of these summer classes should have signed permission forms to guidance ASAP.
Seniors:
Any senior planning on going into education for a career, there is a book award available through the Shaker Regional Education Association. See Ms. Angwin for the application. The deadline is May 15.
Prom Tickets:
If you did not purchase your prom ticket last week and would like to do so you will need to see Mr. Deshaies. Price is now $40. Prom will be held on May 11th @ BHS from 6:00-11:00PM. As a reminder if you are bringing a guest who does not attend BHS you will need to have a permission form filled out which needs to be signed by a parent. Forms can be picked up in the main office.
