Semester 2 schedule changes for all students need to be done by Thursday, January 24th!! Students should be checking their semester 2 schedules( given out 2 weeks ago) for conflicts, missing classes, etc and make an appointment in guidance to resolve any schedule issues before leaving on 1/24 for the long weekend. Monday 1/28 will start semester 2 and all period 1 teachers will have copies of their student schedules for distribution.
Winter Carnival Kickoff:
There will be an opportunity to enter raffles for gift cards to Subway, Dunkin Donuts, D&D, Itunes during next Thursdays assembly. Lots of chances to win!
Music Dept:
On Friday, February 8, The Belmont High School Band will be hosting their annual 'Cabaret' event in the high school cafeteria at 7:00. This years theme is "A trip to Hollywood" and members of the band will be performing music, dance, skits and more, based on a popular movie.
In addition to fabulous entertainment, food will be provided, as well as the chance to walk away with a boat load of goodies through participation in several raffles that will be held during the event. Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. These are purchasable through any high school band member, the high school main office, or at the door.
This event is a chance for the band members to raise money for their competition trip to Washington D.C in the Spring, and it is also a great opportunity for you to relax for an evening and see what students are up to. Please join us for this wonderfully informal, fun and exciting night out!
Clubs:
National English Honor Society:
Students who borrowed "A Death in theFamily", please return your copy to Mr. Russell ASAP so that they can be returned to the New Hampshire State Library.
Spanish Club:
We're providing the excuse you've been looking for to clear out, clean out and empty out, all for a good cause. Imagine, a clean closet and good karma! Donate your unwanted clothing to the Spanish Exchange Club for our Clothing Swap and Clothing By the Pound Fundraiser at BHS tonight 5:30-8:00pm. See attached flier for details.
Yearbook:
Attention Seniors! You must complete your senior section for the yearbook before today. Failure to do so will result in a yearbook staff member creating and submitting a generic one for you. Once the page is submitted, it can't be taken back or redone. Please come to room 106 during lunch (you may not miss class to do this) and a yearbook staff member will assist you. If you can't make it during this time allotment, you must see a yearbook staff member or Ms. Pitrone to make alternate arrangements to complete prior to the deadline.
National Honor Society:
Over the next few weeks, NHS will be collecting pennies and any other coins to help patients with Leukemia & Lymphoma. Pennies for Patients funds research for cures for these blood cancers. Please help fund cutting edge treatments for these patients. You can find collection boxes in the main, guidance and nurses office.
FBLA:
Can tabs - FBLA will be collecting can tabs throughout the year for David's House. Students are asking families to set up a collection bag or box at home and periodically bring them in. The can tabs will be delivered to David's House at the end of March. Thank you for supporting this great cause!
