Athletics:

TODAY:

Swim Meet results:1/4/2013 vs Londonderry, Campbell, Milford, Souhegan, Salem and Timberlane High School.
  
 Congratulations to Antony Hubbard placed 1st place on 200 Yard IM with a time 2:12:03 and 1st place 100 Yard Butterfly time 59:71.

 

Congratulations to the BG Hockey team for their 9-2 win over Manchester West Saturday afternoon at LIA.  Tallying points for Belmont were Jeremy D'Amour (4 goals), Andrew D'Amour (2 goals and 1 assist), Caleb Drouin (1 goal and 3 assists), Dylan Treamer (2 assists) and Nikolai Fernandez (1 assist).  The Bulldogs are now 5-1.  Their next game is away on Wednesday against John Stark in Henniker at 7pm, and their next home game is Saturday against local rival MAIL at 8:15pm.  Come cheer on your home town team!  Go BG!

Guidance:

Congratulations to Elizabeth Yelle on her acceptance to UNH and  to Kaleb Brace on his acceptance to the University of Vermont


Attention Seniors: Lakes Region Community College will be holding an Open House on Wednesday, January 9th from 5-7pm. This is a great opportunity to learn about their degree programs and see what opportunities they offer.

 

Students interested in learning about careers in the culinary arts and would like to get more information from a representative from Lincoln Culinary Art Institute should sign up in the guidance office.  The representative will be here on Thursday, January 17th at 10am.

 

The guidance department is looking for students who are interested in architecture, construction, timber frame building, historic preservationist, heavy equipment and engineering to participate on Friday, January 11th during 4th block at the Huot Tech Center Career Panel. Transportation will be provided, NO COST to attend. See Mrs. O'Connell in guidance to sign up and get a permission slip. Deadline to sign up will be Tuesday, Jan 8th.

 

ACT's:

Last day to register for Feb 9th ACT's is Friday, Jan 11th.

National English Honor Society:

There are still a few copies of our first book group selection, A DEATH IN THE FAMILY available in the library.  Get your copy or get on the waiting list so that you've plunged into the domestic suspense before we meet to discuss it sometime the week of January 14.  Get cracking!


Spanish Club:

Spanish club Three King's celebration today  after school.

 

Poetry Club:

FBLA:

 IMPORTANT MEETING - Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 9th at 2:20pm in Mr. Hill's room.  Students must be in attendance if you wish to attend the State Leadership Conference in March.

 

Can tabs - FBLA will be collecting can tabs throughout the year for David's House.  Students are asking families to set up a collection bag or box at home and periodically bring them in.  The can tabs will be delivered to David's House at the end of March.  Thank you for supporting this great cause!
