College Acceptance

Congratulations to Brad Cyr on his acceptance to Wentworth Institute of Technology, to Katherine Jeas on her acceptance to PSU and to Maddie Blajda on her acceptance to Central Carolina Community College

 

Spring Concert

Next week's Chorus Concert (BMS 7th & 8th Chorus and BHS Chorus) will be held at BHS, in the gym, at 7 PM ...on TUESDAY, MARCH 17th.  (This is a change from Wednesday, March 18th, as was originally scheduled.)

 

Athletics

Congratulations BG Ice Hockey, NH Division III State Champions! BG defeated Berlin-Gorham in 3-2 in overtime on Saturday March 14th at the Verizon Wireless Arena. This is the first state championship in program history for the Bulldogs!

 

Softball meeting for all those interested in playing this year will be Tuesday the 17th at 3 PM in the cafe.

 

Spring Track is here!  There will be a preseason, informational meeting for Spring track in room 107 on Tuesday, March 17th.  After school promptly at 2:30.  We will discuss the program and distribute paperwork.  Interested students, who can't attend, please see Mr. Hayward or Mr. Clark.

 

National Honor Society:

There will be a National Honor Society meeting on Tuesday, March 17th. Attendance is mandatory. 


Class of 2016:
We will have a class meeting at the beginning of Power Hour on Monday, March 16th.  The location will be announced at that time.

 

Guidance:

Help your students plan their schedule next year, by incorporating eStart courses from the new Fall 2015 schedule,http://www.ccsnh.edu/fall-2015-schedule

eStart is an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their educational experience, and get an early and affordable start on their college careers. 

 

The eStart program in an effort to assist students who would not be able to take a course through the eStart Program without financial assistance is now able to offer partial scholarships for eligible students, http://www.ccsnh.edu/estart/scholarshipfinancial-aid

Parents and students who are interested in learning more about the HUOT Tech Center at Laconia High School should plan on attending their Open House on Tuesday, March 24th from 3-6pm.  Great opportunity to tour the facility!


Upcoming School-to-Career opportunities with Mrs. Burke:

CAREER Power Hour – SOCIAL WORKER on March 30th at 10:20am in Guidance. 

If you are interested in the Human Service field, helping others, counseling, etc. this will be a great opportunity for you!  Sign up in Guidance for the catered lunch!

 

PROM:

Prom will be held on Saturday, 5/16 from 6-11pm at Gunstock. Tickets ($50 per person) will be on sale this week during Power Hour.  If you are at the Huot Center during Power Hour, please see 

Ms. Haubrich for ticket purchases. Checks can be made payable to BHS. 

 

FBLA
please send in can tabs for David's House by Wednesday, March 25th, 2015.  FBLA will be turning them in at the State Leadership Conference at the end of the month.  Thank you to everyone who has continued to support this annual effort.

Wellness Club and the students from Anatomy and Physiology and run our obstacle course with and without your phone! In the Gym, second half of PH (10:50) Test the brain science behind the WHY
