College Acceptance:

Congratulations to Katherine Jeas on her acceptance to Simmons College


Baseball:
Tuesday 3/31 JV: 6:00 – 7:30 Varsity: 4:30 – 6:30ish  

Drivers Education:

The next driver's ed class starts on May 5th and will run until June 18th. Please note you must be 16 by the end of the class. Parent Meeting will be on May 4th. If you are interested in signing up please come to the main office for a form. The deposit of $150 is due by April 10th with the remaining balance due on the first class May 4th.


Band:

"Please join the BHS Band as they host the annual Spring Cabaret this Thursday, April 2 at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria.  Breakfast for Dinner is the meal accompanying this year's night of entertainment.  Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults.  Please support this extraordinary group of students, enjoy top notch music and a great meal this Thursday night!"


PROM:

Prom will be held on Saturday, 5/16 from 6-11pm at Gunstock. Tickets ($50 per person) will be on sale this week during Power Hour.  If you are at the Huot Center during Power Hour, please see Ms. Haubrich for ticket purchases. Checks can be made payable to BHS. 


Friday, April 10th will be the last day to purchase prom tickets.  Tickets will be on sale this week during Power Hour in the lobby and after that in Guidance by seeing Ms. Haubrich.  If you are bringing a guest, please pick up a form in the main office and return it by Friday, April 24th.  If you have any concerns with meeting these deadlines, please see Ms. Haubrich before the deadline dates.


Guidance:

For any interested sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have not yet committed to a future plan, there will be a field trip on April 7th to LRCC to learn more about their programs. Please sign up in Guidance. You will be asked to list your program of interest on the signup sheet as well.


LRGHealthcare is kicking off the annual Caring Student Intern (CSI) Program which will take place this summer. Two sessions will be offered, one in July and one in August. Attention Class of 2016! US Senator Kelly Ayotte has announced that applications are being accepted for nominations to the US Air Force Academy, US Naval Academy, West Point Military Academy and US Merchant Marine Academy, for entry July 2016.  Deadline for application submission is October 15, 2016.  Applications can be found athttp://ayotte.senate.gov. Please direct all questions to Senator Ayotte's Academy Advisor, Anne Washburton at 436-7161.


Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is presenting a JOB FAIR! Wednesday, April 8th from NOON to 4pm at the Margate Resort, 76 Lake Street in Laconia. Stop & meet with local employers to discuss full-time, part-time or seasonal job opportunities including internships for high school and college students. See Mrs. Burke is guidance for more information.

Summer Youth Job/Internship FAIR - Students looking for an internship or a job (P/T, F/T, or Seasonal), please pick up a permission slip in Guidance to attend the fair and sign up for any additional Career Services (Mock Interviewing, Resume Writing, How to Fill out an Application, etc.) from Mrs. Burke!

4. Summer Camp Opportunities are rolling in…stop by guidance to see what is available!

5. Taco Bell in Laconia is hiring…stop by guidance if you are 16yrs. or older to pick up and fill out a job application!

BHS PTO is offering an exciting, money-saving fundraiser from BJ's Wholesale Club.  This fundraiser will allow anyone (you, your friends, family, coworkers, etc.) to renew or start a new BJ's membership for a $10 discount and 3 additional months (15 months total).  Renewals will be added to the end of your current term - your current membership will not be affected.  

BHS PTO earns $5 for every membership!  Please help your BHS PTO continue to support our staff and students.  Feel free to forward the form to anyone who would be interested in this special offer.  Checks may be made payable to BJ's Wholesale Club.  Membership forms must be returned before April 13th, 2015.  You may send your membership form and payment to the office at BHS; or you may mail it to BHS PTO at the address on the membership form.  You may also email your completed form with credit card payment to ptocolleen@tangoware.com  If you have any questions, please call Colleen Akerman at 455-9011 or ptocolleen@tangoware.com.
