HERE'S WHAT'S NEW:

 

Parents:  Please note Progress Reports for term 3 were mailed on Tuesday, 3/8/16.

 

ALL WINTER ATHLETES:  Please come to the gym during the second half of power hour TODAY TO SEE MS. KNOLHOFF. 

 

College AcceptancesCongratulations to Katie Sinclair on her acceptance to Plymouth State University!

 

Girls' LacrosseAny girls interested in Girls' Lacrosse, there is will be a meeting Thursday, March 10th at 3:00 in the cafeteria.

 

Boys' LacrosseAny boys interested in playing Boys' Lacrosse, there will be a meeting Thursday, March 17th at 3:30 p.m.  in the Gym. 

 

Winter Sports Awards:  Winter Sports Awards night is TONIGHT, March 9th at 6:00 p.m.

 

Spring Track and Field:  There will be a brief meeting for Spring Track and Field TODAY during Power Hour in room 107.  Paperwork will be distributed and reviewed for all interested students.  Any students unable to attend please see Mr. Clark or Mr. Hayward.

 

Boy's Baseball:  There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing baseball this spring TODAY at 2:35 in room 202.

 

ATG:  All Things Graphic will meet TODAY after school in room 106.

 

BMS Talent Show and Spaghetti Dinner: Please come and join us for a night of family fun on Saturday, March 12th. The fifth grade class will be sponsoring a Talent Show and Spaghetti Dinner at BMS to raise money for Nature's Classroom. Don't miss out on the fun!!! Dinner will be served at 5:00p and the Talent Show starts at 6:00p. Each event cost $5.00 per person. There will also be a silent auction with many nice items!

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Cool Schools Food Drive:  We will be having a food drive March 2nd – March 22nd for our community food bank and Easter.  Donations of Easter Baskets and fixings are greatly appreciated.

 

Katie Sinclair's Senior Project:  Please help Katie raise money by donating to benefit the NH Humane Society for Katie's Senior Project.  All funds collected will be used to purchase goods for the Humane Societies around NH.  Donations will start tomorrow, March 3rd and run until Friday, March 18th.  Donations can be made in the office any time before the school day ends.  Thanks so much for your support!

 

Juniors:   Laconia Adult Education will be offering an SAT (COLLEGE BOARD) PREP CLASS beginning on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.  This class will prepare students for the NEW-REDESIGNED SAT exam to be given in May. Classes will meet from 6-9pm for 7 weeks. The classes are scheduled to end on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. The cost of the class is $95.00 which includes the book fee. For more information or to sign up, please call Peggy Selig at 524-5712. The SAT Prep class will be held at Laconia High School, Room#302.

 

GRANITE STATE GAMES TRYOUTS:

Coming this June the multi-sport competitive Granite State games for New Hampshire athletes.  These games are a great opportunity to get extra training, work/meet different coaches, and get seen in front of college scouts and most of all to have fun!  All events are open to incoming freshman (8th graders) – juniors (graduating 2017).

 

If you are interested in participating in the 2016 Granite State Games and have any questions please talk to Student Ambassadors Devin Poslusny, Chaz Hacking or Athletic Director Ms. Knolhoff.  Also, here is the link:

Leprechaun Leap 5k Saturday, March 19 in Belmont:  Our 4th annual run/walk is coming up soon!  Entry fee for pre-registrations, as well as day-of event registrations, is only $10. The 5k starts and finishes near the Belmont Mill (behind the Library). Our challenging loop includes Concord St., Wareing Road, South Road, and Shaker Road. Prizes awarded for top finishers in Adult Male/Female, and Youth Male/Female divisions.    

 

Boy's LacrosseThere will be open gym for boy's lacrosse every Sunday from 2-4 p.m. until further notice.

SENIORS…Please stop by the School Counseling Office on 3/24 to learn more about post-secondary options at Lakes Region Community College!  Application assistance will be available as well as assistance with program selection!  Sign up today!
