Updates: Next Week/Food, Graduation/End-of Year Events, Summer Programming, Fall?

Good afternoon Families and Staff,

I hope everyone is doing well. Below are a few updates. Please note the change in meal delivery and pick-up for next week.

Next Week 4/27-5/1:

**Important** Food:
Meal delivery and pick-up will ONLY be available on Monday, 4/27. Families will be provided with a full week's worth of food on this day.

Reminder...
Monday and Tuesday are teacher workshop days.
Wednesday through Friday, we continue with remote learning. Wednesday is a flex day.

Graduation / End-of Year Events:
The principals are actively engaged in exploring our options. They will provide you with updates in their weekly communication to families. Our goal is to make sure students are able to experience these end-of-year events and celebrations in a special and memorable way.

Summer Programming:
We are waiting on guidance from Governor Sununu and state health agencies relative to summer programming. At this point, we only have the governor's emergency orders as a reference, no groups larger than ten and maintain social distancing. IF we do open our schools this summer, we would start with district sponsored, required programming such as Extended School Year. Next, we would gradually open up our schools to other district sponsored summer programs and then outside organizations.

What will the start of school look like in the fall?
This is a tough question. Unfortunately, there is limited information and guidance being provided to us relative to reopening schools at this time. Governor Sununu has set up a task force to address "opening up the state", including opening our schools. Hopefully, there will be some guidance for educational leaders to help our planning and decision making in the coming month. I can say, based on the scientific information I've been reading, webinars I've been attending and my own research on the topic, things will be different in the fall. The start of the school year will not be business as usual. What that looks like, I'm not exactly sure at this point. However, I can assure you that we will do everything we can, based on the information that is available, to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for our students and staff. That is our priority. I will keep you posted as our plans unfold. School may look different when we return, but we will be together again!

Have a nice weekend.
Michael
